Hi we are going for our first trip to DLP in January, 4 nights, 5 days. (10-14th).
I'm just wondering if it will be very busy at that time of year, mid-week?
thanks
Jen :goodvibes

I've never been at this time myself but by all accounts I believe that midweek in January is just about as quiet as it gets!
It will probably be the cold weather rather than crowds you will have to contend with

been once in January and going again. Normally we go later in January but even then its very quiet. The weekends are busier because the locals come but still quietish.

My one advice would be bring a hat as our ears got cold :)

We went in January 2009... we booked expecting it to be a quiet time and then got into a panic because most if not all (can't remember rightly) of the hotels ended up fully booked for that week. However, it was really quiet, not much in the way of queues etc. As someone else mentioned it's more likely the weather that you'll have to watch for, make sure you pack thermals and woolies and have fun!!

thanks everyone, I think I can cope with the cold, I keep telling myself it will add to the magic!!:rotfl2:

It definitely will if you get snow. I was so excited about the fake snow on Main St (as we just caught the end of the Christmas celebrations), but then it actually snowed and although friggin freeeeeeezing, it was absolutely magical. A frozen lake and frosty snowy decorations :wizard: and let's face it, it's DLP so you'll have a fab time whenever you go ;)
