The first one was in June- we basically paid for a full blown wedding for my inlaws (yes they had a large first wedding). My BIL said he wanted to do whatever it took to keep her happy. Brunch for 250, flowers, large wedding cake, valet parking, videographer.... but the topper was DH took photos out of our albums without asking, then used Scotch tape to make a collage out of them. Now all these photos of the kids when they were babies are ruined
My parents asked for a small party in their backyard with just us kids and their grandkids ( there are 7 kids and 11 grandkids) My older sister decided to plan a Hawaiin Luau in my parents' backyard-my parents hated Hawaii when they traveled there, but this is where my older sister went on her honeymoon, and she loves it, so she decided that's what kind of party to have
My parents specifically said they only wanted immediate family-now I find out the same sister has sent out invitations to a bunch of people. My brother is putting together a video for them, and asked us all to give him 50.00 each to pay for his time -trust me he doesn't need the money (his wife is part owner of an extremely large magazine publishing company). the same sister who took over the party informed the rest of us that she has "first dibs" on all the extra rooms in my parents' house because her kids are " used to having their own rooms", so we have to stay in a hotel if we are planning on staying overnight I am trying to stay under the radar on this one, but it is getting hard listening to my siblings squabble over what should be a happy event ( I forgot to mention that older sister also swiped photos from my parents' albums without asking-these are irreplacable, and my mother is just sick over it-meanwhile this sister keeps telling us that my mother will never miss the pictures) Calgon....take me away.......................
