Will I still get luggage tags if I decline the magic bands?

Hi all,

Since I booked a package with Disney, I should get the cute Disney luggage tags when they mail me my magic bands.

I just bought a set of character magic bands at Disney store online. I guess I have to "decline magic bands" on MDE. Does anyone know if I decline the magic bands does that mean that I won't recieve the luggage tags?

You don’t have to decline the included bands. You can have many bands on your account and they will all work (unless there’s a glitch).

I don’t know the answer to your question since I don’t book packages (and don’t remember anyone asking this question), but you don’t have to decline the bands.

Like PP said, you don't have to decline the magic bands, we have a handful each in my family and they're all linked via the MDE app.

Did you book Magical Express Bus? If so you will definitely get the tags but if not, I would call as I don't know the exact answer.

Your luggage tags are linked to your DME reservation and not your MagicBands or MDE. If you reserved a seat on Disney Magical Express, then you will get luggage tags.

I do not think you will get them as they come in the magic band box. I would just take the free bands if you really want the tags.

Two different tags here:

Yellow DME bag tags that have your bag sent to your hotel. These come in their own envelope in the mail.

Cute Mickey and Minnie plastic luggage tags that have no info on them and are just for fun. These come in the magic band box.

Different luggage tags!! The OP is talking about the decorative ones, not the DME ones

If you are purchasing a package that includes tickets then the cute Disney luggage tags will come in the box with your MagicBands. If you decline your Magic Bands then you most likely will not get the cute Disney luggage tags.

The yellow tags that you get from the Magical Express are completely different and have nothing to do with the cute Disney tags that come when you book a package.

I would not decline the bands just beacuse you bought character ones, we have character ones but where the plain ones in the pool and at water parks, we have lost one or two in the wave pool and one on summit plummet (we actually can pinpoint on the video the moment it flies off lol)

Agree with the above, if you booked a package and want the specialty luggage tags (I would!) just customize your magic bands to be sure you get the character luggage tags. This way everyone will have 2 sets of MB's- they are interchangeable, my niece often changes them a few times in one day!

Oh, sure. You can use a different one every day. Heck, you can use a different one every hour if you wanted. Some of us match them to our outfits each day
