Will I Need Insect Repellant at DL?

Nope...unless you want to spray it at the 3D bugs in the Bug's Life movie....we've never seen real bugs at DL (even our cousins from Chicago commented last week when we were there how "bug free" the parks are).

The only bug I saw was a HUGE (okay okay 1-2 inches) flying thing that landed on my breakfast at Plaza Inn- After we all photographed it it was taken and released (and NO I didnt eat the food)- Other than that no bugs :) -em

I recently read an article about some West Nile problems in Southern California. I really haven't noticed much of a bug problem in the parks, but you may want to take some just in case.

I'm in So. Cal. (about 1 hour from Disneyland). I'd skip the bug spray. It is extremely unlikely that you'll have problems at Disney. Usually only problems with mosquitos/West nile if you live near a standing water source -- very unlikely at Disney.

Socal here too. It's been a hot, dry summer. No worries about bugs here. California has done a great job with their mosquito abatement programs over the years. I have mosquito spray that I used in Yosemite for a trip and last September at WDW. Hasn't been used outside of those two times.
