Hi all. I have a room booked for two adults and two children coming up pretty soon. I made the reservation quite a while ago and both kids will turn 18 just before our trip (I miscalculated.) The cost of the rooms have doubled!

Are the budget hotels in London really picky about two or three months over the age of 18? The cost of paying the "extra adult" fees come up to $1000 USD:scared1: !!!! If I have to pay that much, I would just as soon get another whole room, but really can't afford it. The previous reservation is prepaid and nonrefundable!

Any advice? Thanks guys- I just don't want any unfortunate surprises when we arrive.

somewhere like Holiday inn express you normally pay for the room.
have they charged you the extra?
probably best ringing them to see what they say.
good luck

I think you'll be fine. It's not likely the hotel will ask for any proof of age. As long as you are happy woth all four of you being in one room, I am almost certain there won't be any issues.
