Will I have time to select a window for RoR, or should I just take whatever it gives me?

I know that the times often change from one screen to the next, but if I'm aiming for a 5pm RoR ILL, and I'm ready at 6:59am, is it worth trying for our preferred time, or should I just take whatever I can grab?

The time slots will go quickly, but if you are on right at 7AM, you should get multiple 'hour' selections - click on 5PM as your preferred hour and see what you can grab. I'm willing to be you could get something pretty close to 5PM. With ILL, initially, you should have some options to better meet your scheduling needs. But grab it quickly! Good luck.

Can I purchase 2 ILL rides at 7 am and if so does it need to be at the same park? Also, once I purchase an ILL at 7 am and lets say the arrival time is at 330 pm, can I still get Genie+ rides selections at 7 am and does it have to be at the same park as my ILL purchase?

G+ and ILL are separate.

Can buy 2 ILL at different parks but the 2nd one at park #2 would have to be after 2pm when you can hop.

You can purchase both at 7am. They don't need to be at the same park. ILLs are separate from G+, and you can book them at any park if you have a hopper. G+ for parks other than your reserved park will give times after 2pm hopping.

So to coordinate ILL and Genie+ reservations along with park hopping, how do you manage that when you through into the equation of dinner reservations that you can make 60 days prior to arrival--you can't make the ride reservations until the same day? So are you able to cancel dinner reservations on the same day without a penalty if they don't align with your ride reservations that you make that morning--that is, 60 days out I reserve a restaurant at Epcot, but on the morning when I make my ILL/Genie+ reservations they happen to be at Hollywood Studios when my dinner reservation was? Seems like that could be an issue??

You just put more thought into the system then Disney did!

You either pick a different ILL time or swipe again for a different G+ time or get ready to eat that $10 less than 24 hour cancellation fee on the TS res. No good way around it.

It's that easy now? When I back in March everyone sat on the edge of their beds staring at the countdown. We didn't get in. The second opening we once again tried while sitting in GE. Right at the timer hit we got it, even more crazy was how many others were cheering around us.

Free vs paid. Not as many people willing to pay vs everyone trying for it to just see if they get it AND that was the ONLY way to ride it then too right?

Ya it was, I remember everyone here talking about "practicing" before hand... it was insane. Missing the first time was heartbreaking because it was the main thing my wife was looking forward to (she even Disney bounded). So all day I felt down but hoped we could grab a spot during round 2. It was a pretty amazing feeling when we got one. So I guess at least I can say I experienced that... lol

Stop making so much sense!

On a serious tip - i have read accounts of people in that scenario who enlisted guest services to help them move the G+ so they can keep the ADR and/or they are able to show up to the ADR a bit later and show their app to explain it happened to conflict with G+ (but of course not hours later). However I'm not sure if there's a rule that all CMs are following to handle it in the same way. It's probably case-by-case?

For instance we had an ILL at 7 Dwarves Mine Train. The lightning lane still had a fairly long line because it was a very busy January so we figured we better get in line because by the time we got to the tap station our ILL window would be open. When we tapped in - it didn't work because we were ONE minute early. Not kidding. Instead of letting us wait there for a minute (or less at that point) and tap back in, the CM sent us all the way to the end of the line to wait again as if we were trying to purposely get away with something and they wanted to teach us a lesson. Is that a rule or is that just a CM being hardcore?

So who knows what you're gonna get if you ask for some consideration when it comes to shifting things around.

I feel like the answer to most G+ question is "it's complicated."

No, I'd go to guest services if you have an issue and they will either move your G+ time or waive the $10 cancelation fee.
