How much do the folks who can make 180+10 ADR's affect the pool of reservations that are left? I don't want CRT, but I would like to get the first breakfast seating at Crystal Palace. We are staying offsite so I'll just start dialing at 6:58 180 days out.

U should have no problem. Anyone can make ADRs it does not matter where you will be staying.

My understanding of 180+10 is that only people staying onsite can use it. So...If we are arriving Dec. 17 and someone else staying onsite is arriving the same day... they can call June 20 and make reservations from Dec. 17-27 while I can only make them for Dec. 17. I will have to call back each day to make the next day's reservations. So it seems like the pool of reservations might be smaller for me since people were able to make their ADR's before me. The question is does this have any real affect only being able to get ADR's during super busy times like Christmas?

I live locally and don't have much trouble making ADRs. You just have to be flexible with what time you want (don't expect to have dinner at 6:00, for example), and have a few back-up choices.

Using Chris' example here, someone staying onsite can call June 20 for Crystal Palace for December 20th, but you can't call until June 23rd. Disney knows this and they will release a certain number of ressies on June 20th and then they will open the rest for June 23rd. That way everyone has a chance to get a ressie.

The 180+10 is really about convenience than it is about having a better chance. If you wanted CRT on one day and Le Cellier on another, you'd have to call back at 6:58am two times, whereas those staying onsite can do it all at once.

The moral of my babbling: I think you'll be fine. Just be on the phone as soon as they open up so you will be more likely to get the time you want. (And have a backup day/time).

Have a magical vacation!:goodvibes
