Good morning everyone I need some advice I am supposed to be traveling to menorca on the 1st May for seven nights but due to finding a lump in my breast I have now been refered to the hospital for investigation . My problem is that I do not know when the appointment is going to be and do not want to be on holiday and miss it , I know the appointment can be made again but I would rather go to the hospital then on holiday . If I contact my insurance would this be a good enough reason to recive a full refund .
It is so hard to know what to do I can not afford to lose all the money , and I also feal as I am letting my DH and DS done from not going away , any advice would be appericated :)

:hug:Sorry, I haven't had any experience with cancelling a holiday and claiming back on the insurance :wizard: I hope everything goes well with your hospital appointment

Sorry can't help with insurance/cancellation.
But my sister found a lump a couple of months ago and she saw her GP, she had a hospital appointment within the week. Hopefully you will be seen quickly too.

ring them and ask them to fit you in before you go im sure if you explain they will help:goodvibes

I would phone and ask roughly when you could expect an appointment. Hope it goes well at the hospital

sorry no real advice just wanted to say good luck at the hospital

I would ask for an appointment before you go.Usually they are quite quick at fitting you in,so fingers crossed.
Hope everything goes well at the appointment

if the problem was diagnosed AFTER you took out the insurance and you had no prior knowledge that you would be expecting a diagnosis then yes they will pay out. It may take a few weeks and may involve letters from docs etc but you should be ok

thanks everyone for your support I really appericate it , I have anual insurance with my bank acccount and also booked the holiday last august so had no prior knowledge of this happening so fingers crossed I will be ok .

To cheer me up and my DS I did book flights to Florida yesterday for December so what ever happens I have that to look forward to .

Hope it all works out for you but do let your insurer know as it is an annual policy as I think most require you to let them know about any medical matters that arise and may impact on a trip already booked.

Claire ;)

If I were you I would ring the department and ask to speak to the secretary that deals with the diary ~ I'm sure that if you explain they will do their best to fit you in. They are usually very helpful in these situations.
