will I be too hot in capris in June? should I go with all shorts?

I think the big key about anything you wear is light weight fabric. I have been there in June July and August and yes it is very hot. I prefer lightweight capris and lightweight dresses as I don't like showing my knees but I would say whatever you are comfortable with just keep it light weight.
the mist fans are wonderful to help you keep cooled down. We like to eat a later lunch and then take a break in the room until evening to keep out of the heat.
