Will I be able to keep my pre booked genie plus on tickets if I change my resort booking to a different resort. Is it classed as a modification?

I was wondering if this is possible. I realise that I will probably need to call to sort it out but I would like a bit of an idea before I do.
We have booked 2 rooms as packages at Boulder ridge which include 5 day park hoppers with genie plus. I booked them before the June cut off. If we change the packages to one room at art of animation will we be able to keep our genie plus when we make the change. Is this classed as a modification or is that staying at the same resort and changing rooms or number of days on your ticket.
I’m trying to cut some costs as our airline flights from Australia have increased.

I also bought a resort and ticket package with Genie+ tickets for our trip in November and have changed the resort part of the reservation several times. We even changed from five day park passes to six day park passes and kept the Genie+.

If you are modifying the reservation online it may make you reselect your park tickets and add on options. Genie+ should still be listed. However, call and speak to a cast member if those options are not there or for extra reassurance.

I was thinking the same thing …….if a promo code comes out for my December vacation because our package includes the Genie Plus before the cut off. I am way too hesitant to make changes if one is offered for fear of messing up my park days and Genie Plus package. It would be nice to be able to lower my package cost, but I will be too worried to try and apply any discount.

Oh that's an interesting question. I haven't been to Disney in years. I have rooms booked but had it in the back of my mind that if a better deal came along, I'd switch Disney resort rooms. (we have room only, no package) That's how I always did it before. Would I still be able to do that, if it was after I've made ADR and fast pass reservations? Or would I lose them? If there's any chance of losing them, then I will stop looking at room prices trying to get a better deal as I really don't want to go through all the effort of getting ADR and fast passes and then losing them! I am a bit nervous at doing all of this. We are only trying to get ADRs for maybe 2 restaurants. The fast passes will be a bigger issue I think.

My TA applied the Disney + discount to my package when it became available for my dates. My tickets along with Genie + were not changed at all. I saved close to $300 for my stay at WL. I did also change the room category, but I was already staying at WL.

Okay, so fastpass went to live on a lovely farm where there’s lots of room to run and play and chase squirrels.

For anyone in a similar situation I was able to do it online and change my resort and keep my genie plus.
I couldn’t do it using my phone but was able to using my computer.
It was a little involved but I managed to change 2 rooms with tickets and genie plus at Boulder ridge WL to 1 room at art of animation with tickets and genie plus.
I moved everyone to my room at Boulder then cancelled one of the rooms.
I then booked at art of animation by modifying my resort which allowed me to keep my park tickets with genie+.

Sounds like you missed Genie+ and Lightning Lanes (LL) + Paid LL

Basically it is paid FP+ and for an additional fee a Guaranteed access to a Tier 1 ride in each park on a per ride purchase price that is dynamic priced just like park tickets.
