Will HHN scare me? More specifically how are the scare zones?

So we've got free tickets to HHN and are planning on going Saturday. I hate being scared, Casper the Friendly Ghost scares me!

So my question is about specifically the scare zones:

1. Are they really scary?
2. Do the people come up and touch you? I hate people standing really close to me.
3. If you aren't in a scare zone do they still have actors that scare you? I don't want to get past the first scare zone, think I'm ok and then BAM there's some dude dressed up like a zombie in my face!!

Any information will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Yes...I think you will be scared. The scareactors are not allowed to touch you and you aren't allowed to touch them but they will get in your face. If you act scared, you are inviting them to scare you!

They will get in your face as metro said, rev fake chainsaws in front of you, etc, it does get quite scary. Also even if you aren't in a scarezone they do have some roaming scareactors (such as the Chainsaw Drill Team).

They are safe zones were you can sit and collect your wits tho.

The "I hate being scared" part of your post is what stands out most to me. It IS scary, to most.

Correct,I have seen grown people crying in fear and leave!!

I didn't cry but I did have to go back to hotel and change cause a certain scare-actor made me pee.:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: So sorry for the TMI, but its true.

My husband will likely be looking for that character cause HE thought it was hysterical. I will be avoiding him like the plague.

My hubby is the same way! He said watching me get scared out of my mind makes it more fun. Out in the scare zones, I'm fine, but when I'm in a haunted house, I HATE it. I guess because I have no idea where I'm going.

i went with a friend and his fiance to the california version a few years ago,

she lasted 43 seconds before turing and running out the park!
(it was a clown with a chainsaw that did it)

This is my first year attending HHN. I have to say, it is pretty scary (although, I can get scared easily). I do enjoy it though

This was also my first year attending. I think I underestimated how scary it would be. My friend more so, she freaked out about the scareactors with chainsaws and we had to go round the entire park to avoid scarezones to leave because she was freaked out.
If they see you're scared I think they're more likely to chase you, jump at you etc
Personally the houses were scarier for me.
But we did enjoy it though and I'm really glad we went.

Id say more creepy then scary

Yes, without doubts they seem to love teenage girls to scare. I went Thurs night and there didnt seem to be appear as much scaring as other times?

Plenty of safe areas as well as a few attractions open.

For sure appreciate all the work put into the event

I was scared out of my mind!!!

The actors did a great job as I had a nightmare for weeks after......:confused3

Great for others, but not for me.................

The only one that freaked me out was the ghoul/wraith racing staight at me on her heelies. I know they're not supposed to touch you but she was literally inches from me and still moving at quite a fast speed when I put up my hands to stop her. I was terrified that she would hit me and go flying backwards, hitting her head and giving herself a concussion. The worst scare zone, was probably that one - the one on the street where Terminator is located.

Other than that, it wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined it would be.

Thanks for all the responses...LUCKILY our free tickets could only be used Sunday through Thursday which is work nights for us and living an hour way doesn't allow us to go these nights!!! I was so happy!!!!!!!!!
