Will getting a waitlist affect FP+

Finally finished booking our rooms dec/jan trip. For the second week of the trip we are booked in a bwv pool view. I put in a waitlist for boardwalk view which I know is probably unlikely. But just curious, if the waitlist comes through would I be assigned a new reservation number and have to redo all my FP+ reservations? What if I wait listed at a different resort like BLT and it came through?

I would say not because I cancelled OKW and rebooked VWL and all of my FP+ reservations, including the coveted Anna and Elsa fast pass were still showing up on the website after I linked up the new reservation.
