Will EMM have an effect on crowds?

Trying to plan out our trip in July and on July 22 there's EMM. We won't use that and would probably go later in the day. Does EMM make the whole day more crowded like EMH might? Or since it's an upcharge and fewer people will use it, does it not really make a difference?
