Will EMH be as crowded in October?

All of these stories of EMH in June sound horrible! I wonder if it will be as bad in October? I have only planned for us to do one EMH on our trip and that is at MGM so we can see Fantasmic. We will tour AK first, leave around 2:00-3:00 p.m., then hop over to MGM for H & V and Fantasmic. I was hoping we might be able to do RnR and ToT after Fantasmic, but won't even try if the crowds are bad. When did the EMH at night start? Is it part of the Happiest Celebration?

The rest of our trip we are touring the EMH parks the day following EMH.

It started in January and it is not related to HCOE.

My guess is that October will not be as bad as June simply because the parks are nowhere near as crowded in October.
