Will Disney really refund my money?

Hi all...I was just wondering if a lot of people actually get a refund from disney if they over paid for the wedding? We are having a group of light drinkers and therefore decided to go with a bill on consumption bar instead of a package bar. However, they estimate 6 glasses of wine per person, which seems a little excessive to me. However, I am worried I can't trust disney to refund my money...what do you all think???

Ecoon, after my FTW event, I received a bill. If Disney could trust me for final payment after my event was all said and done, I'm pretty certain that you can trust them to refund any over-payment that you may make. After, they are a multi-billion dollar corporation and I think their money is good.

Seriously, I have read of many FTW couples over the years who have received a refund check after their events. But if you are really concerned, please discuss this with the FTW folks. Their job is to help you plan an event and feel good about it while you're doing it.

Ecoon - I don't think you need to worry. Disney isn't out to scam people out of their money. We had our wedding about a week and a half ago and got an e-mail before we were back from our honeymoon from DFTW saying we are getting $800 of our deposit back. That is after we added a few people to the welcome dinner and reception after we paid out BEO, plus adding some other things as well. I really don't think they will overcharge you for the bar.

We got a refund for overpayment on our bill on consumption open bar. The check arrived about 30days after our wedding (once they close out your bill). We didn't have any issues and I thought it was a timely response!


P.S. They gave us a copy of the open bar consumption tally at the end of our reception - you can see how much was served. This tally is what they used to calculate our overpayment. I recommend asking for a copy at the end of your reception.

My parents got a refund after our wedding. I believe the credit showed up on their credit card before DH and I had even returned from our 10 day honeymoon.
