My friend is planning a Disney vacation the third week in August .She wants to split her time at Universal Studios. Anyway.... she has found a 4-day Park Hopper Plus pass on the Internet through a ticket broker, but it is not an "official" Disney ticket. She's called Disney twice, and both times she's gotten a well-rehearsed "we don't know what you're talking about" type of response. They say they've "never heard" of it. Her worry is that if she buys the ticket, Disney won't honor it at the gate. I have no experience with 4-day park hopper plus, so please let me know how this works. Thanks in advance!

If you go to the Walt Disney World web site, they do list a 4-Day Park Hopper Ticket. They do not offer 4-Day Ultimate Park Hopper Tickets though; these begin with 5-Day. If she has called WDW, I don't understand why they would say they have never heard of a 4-Day Park Hopper Ticket when they list it on their web site. Are you sure she is stating that it is a 4-Day Park Hopper Ticket and not a 4-Day Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket?

No, it's not the park hopper, but the park hopper PLUS that she's looking for.. because she wants to do a day at the water parks, too.

Sorry, I just reread your post. Didn't catch the first time that you were saying 4-Day Park Hopper Plus. It is correct that they do not offer a 4-Day Park Hopper Plus. On the Walt Disney World web site the Park Hopper Plus does not start until 5 days. They do offer a 4-Day Park Hopper, and perhaps that is what they are offering on the Internet and your friend just misunderstood. Sorry for the confusion on my part.

Another thought. Your friend could go with a Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket. It is good for length of stay only and you have to stay onsite. So if she is staying on site, she or he could get a 4-Day Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket. It would be good for the parks, waterparks, Pleasure Island, and Disney Quest.

She is not confused. I've seen these discount tickets on the unofficial Disney site
https://secure.wdisneyw.co.uk/form.php My thinking is that if ticket brokers sell them, Disney will honor them. But, she doesn't want to shell out the money only to be turned away at the gate. I was wondering if anyone had that experience?

She can't do the UPH, because of her itineray.

the 4-day hopper and the 4-day hopper plus tickets. I'm sure it's a legit ticket - it's just not sold by Disney direct, so the CM you spoke to might not realize it exists. My TA sends thousands of people to Disney every year, and he's been himself, and I'm sure if there were problems with that ticket type they would have stopped selling them (it's a long way for us to go to Disney from Barbados to find the ticket is not valid)! I wouldn't worry.

The web site you linked to looks like a legitimate site. If you really want to be sure, check them out on the Better Business Bureau.

I do know that Disney used to sell the 4 day park hopper plus tickets and they never expire, so they could have those left over and they would certainly be accepted.

We bought 3 day hoppers through Mousesavers last year. Every time we went through the gate, an employee asked where we got them, because they hadn't seen them before. But they were valid and honored. I am betting the tickets are valid.

Yes, there is such a thing as a 4-day Park Hopper Plus.

They are sold by Disney to Wholesalers, Conventions, and the Sports folks. They do not sell them to the general public.

I have had a 4-day PHP that I got from HiltonHHonors in exchange for program points. I'm sure it is the same ticket.

There really are 4-day PHPs available thru ticket brokers. Some of the more reputable sites that are recommended on the Budget Board are:
Ticketmania.com
Paramount Travel
Hotwire Savings Club (membership required)
and
Mapleleaf Tickets

All of them offer 4-day PHPs.

Just be aware, when purchasing tickets online, that some sites will quote ticket prices without the tax, or charge very high shipping prices. Make sure that you're comparing apples to apples when you evaluate ticket pricing.

We purchased tickets from Ticketmania before and they are very reputable. The price they quote you includes shipping as well. I would definately buy from them again.

Thanks to these boards, I just purchased our 4 day hopper plus tickets from Hotwire Savings Club for $208.96 each including tax and free shipping. That's the cheapest that I"ve found.

Thanks so much to everyone that posted about Hotwire Savings Club.

BTW - I also got the $10 rebate since the tickets were my first purchase so that made the price even better!
