Will Disney Cruise choose Los Angeles or San Diego as hub?

Thanks for posting the article.

I'd think they'd choose LA because of the proximity to Disneyland. A land/sea package would be much more convenient.

Could you imagine DCL motor coaches on I-5 from LA to San Diego during rush hour? I guess it's possible, but it just doesn't seem very convenient to me.

They've gone out of San Pedro the last 2 times, but I guess San Diego will be a good choice also...

I wonder if they will do Mexico, though with all the travel alerts coming out... :confused3

Interesting date in the article. It says that DCL plans to start operations on the West Coast in 2011.

And DVC plans on opening Hawaii in 2011.

Now, can you imagine how wonderful a vacation it would be to sail from the west coast to Hawaii on a DCL ship then spend a week in Hawaii at a DVC resort? Then you could fly back home. What a fabulous 2 weeks!

There is also the possibility of Long Beach in the LA area, as there are berths for cruise ships there, not too much farther from the LAX Airport, and a lot closer to the Long Beach & Orange County airports.

Cruise to Hawaii - now that would be a heck of a vacation.

My niece's church group was going to go on a mission trip to Mexico but it was cancelled because a lot of the parents weren't going to let their children go to Mexico. My mom wasn't happy about her granddaughter going to Mexico. She is happy the trip was cancelled. Hopefully they can do a mission trip in the US instead.
