They won't cancel until they are more sure of the impact the storm will have on the area. There's a Party scheduled for Sunday the 10th and Tuesday the 12th. Supposedly those tickets cannot be changed of refunded. Really? Even if there's a Hurricane?!!
If Disney cancels, you will be offered another night or a refund. They have done this in the past even for parties that didn't get cancelled but were either held in downpours or extreme cold.
No changes or refunds apply to you if you change your mind and don't want to go./
Did you really think that they would do nothing but keep your money?
I was actually able to cancel a party ticket last year & get a refund, even though it was my fault for having to cancel & the tickets were technically nonrefundable. The CM was being nice. It was months in advance of the party, though. There's a Party scheduled for Sunday the 10th and Tuesday the 12th. Supposedly those tickets cannot be changed of refunded. Really? Why wouldn't we?
Even you know better than that.
They do a lot of things for money, we all know that. They offer lousy desserts and mediocre viewing areas for money, tired exclusive, little value, expensive tent cabanas, paid EMH, express park to park transportation but even Ogre himself wouldn't cancel an event and keep the guests money.
Just the publicity nightmare that would ensue is enough for then not to do it.
AND, they are offering:
Tickets to another Halloween party of your choice or
Tickets to a Christmas party of your choice or
A one day park hopper ticket to be used within 2 years or
A full refund

I don't understand your comment. My tickets for Sunday's already cancelled MNSSHP were $69. Picking a different party date might cost more, and those one day hoppers they are offering definitely cost way more than the $69 I paid. BTW, I'm going to take the refund.Shows you the cost/value of your $100-$125 tickets, huh?
