Will Disney also go this way

We will know once they announce the Fantasy requirements since its 7 days (longest cruises) and to countries (USVI) that require vaccination of anyone over 12 on board to be able to enter port.

I don't think Disney will have vaccination requirements for the Dream. For the Fantasy I could see it based on the ports its visits. Then for the other ships would have to look at the ports it is visiting to see. Example Wonder in December is just Key West/Castaway so I can see them being in line with Dream.

Said since the start Disney won't require it but if a country does they will use that requirement to set the requirement for the ship.

The order is specific to NCL, but would certainly be applicable to DCL and other lines if they chose to file a similar complaint.

Would DCL go this way? I doubt it.

Agreed. It would be nice if they required it (including for kids once they become eligible for the vaccine) but somehow I doubt they will. I hope I'm wrong and they do end up requiring it.

I hope they require it for everyone that *can* be vaccinated. It makes sense to me to exclude children under 12 from a vaccination requirement b/c they simply can't get one right now but require it as soon as they can.

They have already gone this way for their UK cruises this summer (where it wasn't a government prerequisite). It'll just take a few outbreaks linked to cruise lines for them to focus their minds.

You know, you have to be vaccinated to visit some countries for Yellow fever etc, so, is it really that different for cruising?

Which goes back to my point months ago. Disney will not require it they will require it if countries require it.

DCL does not require vaccination in the UK the UK requires it from my understanding so Disney just follows it. Same with Disneyland Paris its not Disney its the French requirements regarding their vaccination passport. Correct me if I am wrong on those.

The UK government is NOT mandating vaccines for cruise ships. That decision was made by DCL.

Just for clarification, for the summer UK cruises, ALL over 18s must be vaccinated (and show proof), all under 18s who aren't vaccinated must have a PCR test 5 days to 24 hours beforehand, and everyone at the port has to do a lateral flow test.

In my *personal* opinion, the rules for the Florida cruises seem to me like they are playing with fire, although with the cruises being reasonably short in nature, may be disguised. I know for some reason vaccines are politicised in the US, and I'm not getting at that here.

I think they do after the final ruling by the court on this matter. They are requiring it everywhere but Florida I believe.

I’m surprised it’s taken this long. Seems pretty cut and dry that this executive order wouldn’t pass muster for a mode of international travel or even interstate travel.

I think it helped their case so far that another port has a requirement of vaccination now. Prior to that the FL requirement was not directly impacting the ability of the business to operate.
