Will DDE save us $$?

We are putting together a reunion of sorts for Jan 2007 and if everyone shows will have 26 people (a little over half will be children). We are planning on getting one DDE card this year to cover our Feb. trip and 10 at the reunion and then getting another DDE card at the start of the reunion trip to cover another 10 and then also use it for the next year. Has anyone ever used two cards at the same time for over 10 people?
Thanks

We had a large group for breakfast at Kona Cafe earlier this month. Several people in the group had DDE cards, and we multiple cards to get the discount for everyone. I'm not sure if we needed to use 3 or 4 cards (not sure of the total number in our party) but I do know we didn't have any problem doing this. :)

We always tip the discount (since it is 20%) unless we have not had good service.
That's what we do...makes it easy, doesn't it??!!

I am an accountant, so the less math I have to do on vacation, the better! Leave it to Disney to figure out a way to make tipping mindless!

One thing we liked very much is that the dde is a flat 20% discount on the entire check, including alcohol sales. Since we have wine with dinner most nights, the dde saved us a lot of money over the course of our two trips last (this) year. We used the 20% discount as our base calculation for the initial tip, and then added extra as we thought appropriate.

I've used more than 1 card for more than 10 at a table - although sometimes I have had a server who has taken 1 card for a larger than 10 top and say not to worry about having another card out.

With the DDE card, do you also have to show your AP every time? If dining at a resort restaurant, I don't always carry my park passes with me everywhere...??

I've never had to show my AP.

remember some of the resorts take care of the card too.......like the food courts at All Stars.....and Port Orleans French quarter......

we use the dde on our trips & it definetly saves us money as we eat often & mostly signature. it saved us over $100 in november & will be savings us a ton next trip during our wedding week with all our family.

DDE also gives you free valet parking at resorts. When you retrieve your car, just show them your receipt for dinner and you don't have to pay to valet.

You don't have to only use it at restaurants. You can use it just to buy alcohol drinks. For instance, you can use it at the UK pub in Epcot.

An AP is not a requirement for having the DDE card, since Florida residents are also eligible for it. What you might have to show is your driver's licensce or other I.D. to prove that you are the cardholder, but I've never been asked for this, either (still, I think it does sometimes happen).

I was not asked for ID this December, I was asked several times in June. It probably just depends on your server.

We bought it for our December trip. We paid $50 for it and therefore, anything spent over $250.00 would be sheer profit.

We went to Boma, Cindy's Breakfast, California Grill and some counter services.

In a 4 day vacation we came out even.

We are going in April with 10 others and the item will payoff big time for that trip.

The DDE is very much worth it. ;)
