During our Nov. vacation, we are spending ONE night on the Premium package. It includes all tours. The only tour my DS will be old enough to participate in is Disney’s Family Magic Tour. Has anyone taken this tour? What did you think about it? What did you like/dislike about it? Thanks for any info! :goodvibes

Here's the description from WDW website: (just wondering if we should bother?)
Take the family on an exciting journey through the Magic
Kingdom® Park. Young and old alike can revisit their childhood
on this fanciful tour of the most magical place on earth.
Presented daily and lasts approximately 2 hours. Guests of
all ages may participate; most appreciated by Guests 4 to 10
years of age.

We did this tour back in 2005, when my kids were 6 & 4. They LOVED it! They are 10 & 8 now and I think they would still like it if we did it again.

On our tour, I'd guess that the kids ranged in age from 4 to about 12. There were two 12-ish girls who seemed to be a little less into it than the younger kids were. You do have to act silly in front of other people, which doesn't appeal to some people. My family, however, is fine with acting silly - we do it all the time!

OH!!! My DH & DS might not like the "acting silly in front of others" part! Did you get to meet characters? How long did it take? How many were in group? Do you get anything for taking the tour? (I saw where some on allears.net mentioned getting certificates, or something) Thanks for your advice!

We met two characters and went to Mickey's Philharmagic with them. I'm not sure if they do that anymore. I think I read a while back that now the characters do a meet and greet, but not an attraction. :confused3 Maybe someone who has done it more recently will be able to answer that part.

The tour was about 2 hrs and we all loved it. We had to play follow the leader, yell "to infinity and beyond" as we all ran to Tomorrowland, and other stuff like that. We also rode the Buzz ride (got to go in the FP line) during the tour.

After the tour, our characters had certificates for each child. They gave them to the kids after Philharmagic.

I have some pics somewhere. I'll try to locate them later and post a few.
