A few weeks ago my daughter asked if she could bring along one of her college friends on our trip to WDW in September. As this young woman has a job and is willing to pay her own way, why not? I added her to our reservation and sent her the invite to join our planning party on the My Disney Experience app.
When Disney announced the end of the offer to buy 4 days and get two extra days free, I decided that I'd better purchase our tickets now. I had spent over three hours on hold waiting just to get a price for our tickets so I could let my daughter's friend know how much they would be, so I didn't want to wait until next weekend and perhaps miss out. However, I noticed that although the friend was now in my Friends and Family list -- she still wasn't showing up in our planning group for this trip. I figured I should get that taken care of so that I could make our park reservations as a group, so I spent two and a half hours last night getting that sorted out.
This morning I called at 9am Eastern time to purchase our tickets and had to wait another hour and a half to connect with Member Services. It took the cast member another 15 minutes to find my reservation. After we finally got everything sorted out, she proceeded to give me a "Will Call number". Does this mean that I have to wait until we get to WDW to link our tickets to the Magic Bands that I have already purchased and were delivered a couple of weeks ago? Can I call WDW and speak to someone who could actually send us e-tickets so I can link them? I do see in the My Disney App that we have Magic Bands activated, and that we have 6-day park hoppers, but they don't appear to be linked. I assume that the reason why they weren't linked automatically is because Disney no longer sends Magic Bands but I'm unsure what my next step should be. We had hoped that we would be able to just drop our stuff at the resort and head straight to a park, but now it seems like things won't be that simple. What should I do now?
