Just noticed that Universal has a gradventure on one of the days i'm staying at Cabana Bay.. May 6th. Thats my arrival day so i guess I should avoid the universal parks and head to Epcot or something? Or do you think its it safe to hit a universal park for a few hours in the morning?

Universal is pushing the Cabana Bay on the gradventure advertisement screen so i'm hoping the resort isn't overrun by groups of tweens that whole weekend.. does that happen at universal during these dates?

Oh also one last thing.. I heard that universal lets resort guests use the pools at any resort? So if i'm staying at Cabana Bay i can go hit the pool at Potfonio Bay or wherever with no hassle?

In general, Orlando is swarming with kids. Value properties typically tend to have lots of families looking for a deal in residence as well as havving large percentage young adults sharing a room for their vacation.

the hotels have occupancy maximums, if you're still seeing availablity the property isn't fullly booked, yet.

we've never bothered pool-hopping unless our resort's pool was out of order as it takes some time to transfer, too much like work.

Any Friday in Orlando will have a lot of school field trips at any of the parks, especially Epcot as it is considered more "educational". Don't know about Gradadventure, do know all the high schools in our area - the Florida Panhandle - that went to Grad Bash just rode down in bus, went to Gradbash, then rode bus home. So glad I did not have to chaperone!

We do pool hop, as my kids like to try out the other pools at Universal.

Pool hopping is no issue at all...just remember to take your hotel room key card to get towels :)

Haven't seen any reports in previous years of any issues at Cabana Bay with groups of teens like we read about at some of the other values.

Yes pool hopping is encouraged if you have the time.

I've been to Cabana Bay several times and haven't really had a problem with teens there. Also CBBR has two pools so I think that evens out things where crowds are concerned. So if they hang out at one pool you can go to the other one. Both are a large size and super nice.

Grad adventure is for middle age students grade levels
Grad bash for high school level students
Same concept of the park closing for this special event which is held on select Friday dates April/May
