Will Bell Services drop bags at room if we are not there?

We are doing a split stay in May with 1 day at AS and the rest at POP. We will drop our bags at luggage services upon arrival and not even bother taking them to our AS room. Will they drop them at our POP room the next day even if we are out at the Parks?

No. You have to in your rooms to accept bags.

Pop is the only resort where sporadically people report luggage delivered when they weren't in their room, something to do with a limited storage area for bell services. However, I would not count on it.

All other Disney resorts it's a hard no on having anything delivered by bell services if you aren't present.

I think there may be some confusion. Where are you planning to drop your bags? If you drop them at AS then you should make sure that Luggage Services knows that you want them to transfer your luggage to PoP on the next day.

If you plan to drop you bags at PoP a day before your actual PoP reservation starts let Luggage Services know that you want them to hold your luggage until the next day.

I'm not sure if it is related to our Owner's Locker being in storage, but we've had our luggage (and locker) sent to our room a couple times the last few years. I believe it happened at All-Star Sports and All-Star Music. Never at a moderate or deluxe, so the lack of storage argument makes sense.

Yes. Every time people say "no" I'm like "Well, when I stayed at Sports they did." I think it happened at Pop as well but I'm not 100% on that.

Yes,definitely at the All-Stars and Pop Century.

Routinely done at those Resorts in our experience.

Not true. I've had more experiences getting my bags (and owner's locker) brought to my room at value resorts. Will be at FQ in a week and will report back!

EDIT: I misread the quoted post. I agree with this poster and have only experienced bags being delivered to my room at value resorts thus far.

This thread is about having your bags delivered to your room without you being present. At POFQ, don't expect them to deliver anything to your room if you are not present in the room to accept it.

Thanks, @Dave006. I did misread! Apologies to @TCRAIG! I cannot recall a recent time that they delivered my bags to our villa. I can only vouch for this happening at All-Star Music and All-Star Sports. I'll report back about POFQ.

It’s all good - DVC has a few ‘rules’ that are different than the hotel side.

Dropped my bags at 9:00am this morning at bell services and they were automatically delivered to our room without even a request. Ended up staying at ASMu.

We were at All Star Sports last week. They brought our bags to our room while we were at the park. I was shocked, in a good way. I didn’t think they did that anymore.

It can be hit or miss at the Values. If the luggage room is getting close to full, they may deliver some to the rooms that are ready. Bell Services at moderates/deluxe do NOT deliver luggage to rooms that do not have guests present because they won't be tipped and that is how they make their money. At Values, at one point they technically didn't have bellmen, it was luggage services and they were non tipped positions. Now that may have changed. However, I think it's why sometimes they do deliver to your room when you are not there.
