Hi all! We had our first visit to UO in January. Loved all the Harry Potter areas and City Walk the rest of the parks didn't really do it for me.

However in light of the Disney ticket price hikes, I'll be making use of my AP. We had planned to get Disney APs for our October and January trips. APs will run our family $4000 once I figure in the Canadian exchange. Not happening. So October will be a no Disney parks trip, just like my recent two week stay at Disney. In January I will use my heavily discounted Canadian tickets to visit the Disney parks with friends.

Hadn't planned on using my UO AP in October but now that I'm not going into the Disney parks I'll have some time on my hands. I just learned that I get early entry with my preferred pass. In January I'll visit UO again. An uber over from Disney is very affordable.

I wonder if the tide is shifting for Disney. Many of my fellow dvc members are not entering the parks any more. For many of us dvc is just a place to lay our heads and swim in the pool.

Glad I have my UO AP. It will add lots of fun to my two trips. Forbidden journey here I come! I could ride it all day!

I'm with you! We have had UO AP's for a few years now and we,too find ourselves less at Disney! We did get Disney AP's this year due to a few trips but we don't plan on renewing. The UO hotels are amazing and we are spoiled with the EP. A Universal vacation is also so relaxing! No dining reservations, no fastpass reservations!

I think you hit the nail on the head about the Hotel/EP combination...we too, are spoiled with those and it makes our time at UO about as stress free as a vacation can get. We have a limited budget each year and UO makes the best of it. I have just never been able to figure as good a deal or value for our family over at WDW...of course value is in the mind of the spender, so WDW is very valuable to many...by no means am I disparaging WDW.

That's how we've done it for awhile. Except my Dvc stays have been park free almost entirely.

I want uni onsite when visiting uni.

However uni is now inching up in cost to an extent that's peeving me. So we have no aps to anywhere right now.

I still have an after 4 Epcot pass for Disney. But that's it.

I've gone over to Universal for their AP. I get great discounts. I like both parks and find it more of a bargain than Disney's

That was my point exactly. Their AP benefits far outpace those of Disney. Universal is just as pricey for three day or less trips but once you hit four days, an AP makes Universal a good proposition. The same cannot be said for Disney's AP program.

We all enjoy all the parks and have favorites

And let's continue this discussion and play nice with each other

I am still using the old photo ID AP set up since 2002

The pic is fading but still scans
Lol

Have really got my Money's worth with the ap
