Will be at WDW for 13 nights. A Call for TiW advice...

Heading to WDW in 2 days. We'll be there for 13 nights. We've got 11 ADR's and will do lots of counter service. I'm pretty much convinced that I'm going to upgrade my 10 day PH+WP to an AP and grab a TiW and use the heck out of it. We are 6. DW and I and 4 kids (13,9, 7 & 5).

I've learned so far that I should enter the park first to "validate" the ticket so when I upgrade it to AP it gets upgraded at a higher value than buy the Tiw pass.

Any other recomendations for my plan? This will be the first time I do TiW?

When you upgrade to the AP you can purchase the TIW at the same time. It's good for TS and some CS locations (AK, value resorts and some if not all moderates)

Of the moderates, only POFQ. The other resort CS that take it are SSR and the value resorts.

If you upgrade your MYW+WP, remember that if you have used any of the WP options you can only upgrade to Premium. Which of course makes the cost of upgrading SO much more. Be sure to factor that in, along with the TIW cost, to make sure it's still going to be a savings. (of course if you'll actually be using the AP for a future trip then ignore that LOL)

Also, keep in mind when doing your calculations that TiW is good for 20% off food AND alcohol at locations where it is accepted. Plus the AP will get you discounts as well.

You can also use TIW at Animal Kingdom.

TIW also comes with an automatic 18% gratuity, but since you are a party of 6, you will be subject to that anyway.

Not just Value resorts - we've received DDE/TIW discounts on mugs at pretty much all resorts. We've stayed pretty much everywhere, Disney and DVC, and we've gotten it at every resort.
