We dont know where we will be or when so we dislike ressies for dining. With the lower crowd levels during this time what is your opinion of walk up dining?

Don't count on it at any of the ultrapopular restaurants, especially at peak dining time. Other than that you will have options, although it's possible you may have to wait awhile to be seated.

I tried to change some reservations for 2 weeks from now and the choice is slim to none! So I just stuck with what I had booked!

I'm going during part of that week as well and was recently changing around reservations and noticed some of the most popular times at certain places were no longer available. What you can do to check is attempt to make a reservation online and it will show you what times are still available, that way you get an idea of what places are most popular.

My mom and sister went at a similar time of year a few years ago and told me about half the restaurants had no dinner availability so they just went to the ones that did.
