Will Airtran continue RAC after March 2007 and expand to all Disney resorts for it?

I love POP Century for my stays at Disney. I noticed news here saying Airtran has RAC available as a pilot program up to March,2007, but not to all the resorts.

Does anyone know if Airtran is permanent for RAC, now? Also, are all the Disney resorts included for this now if it's permanent? TIA

Of course, my best times and rates are with Airtran; so, I really would like to hear they are doing this for keeps, now.

RAC = Resort Airline checkin?

In late January, we could not check in for Airtran at Saratoga Springs.

I would love to know the answer to this also! Thanks for posting the question!:goodvibes

the pilot program is actually through march. i think the rule of thumb is deluxes and CSR, but there's a complete list in the DME faq.

I'm hoping this will become a permanent airline for RAC services at Disney. Also, I'm hoping Airtran will extend the courtesy at all the resorts for this service.

If anyone hears this is happening, please let us know.

the end of march is almost here & i am sooooo curious to see if they will extend it!!!

We're at CR (currently under the pilot program) 4/7 - 4/10, flying Airtran...Not sure if it will still be available to us. If it is, I'm not sure we'll use it. Since we don't want the kids sitting alone on the plane, we plan on "checking-in" and printing boarding passes at the 24 hr mark. I heard that if you do this, you can't use RAC. Not sure I want to risk the kids sitting alone, just to not have to schlep the bags.....

I wish you could get your seat assignments 24 hours out and then check the bags the morning of the flight at the resort....Which essentially is what we'll be doing with checking luggage at the airport.

going by personal experience, where i got locked out from using RAC (i guess technically i was 12 hours and 10 mins out and they tried it and it wouldn't print the boarding pass, but when the 12 hour mark came, they couldn't do it at all), i was able to call jet blue, explain it, and she reset it for me so they were able to do it.

it's technically different than manually checking in online and printing a boarding pass which they're not supposed to be able to reset so you can do it again, but maybe they'll do it so RAC works. since you're planning on doing it anyway, might be something to try.
