Will airport scanners ruin WDW tickets?

I prepurchased my WDW tickets here at home, should I take them with me or pack them? I really don't want to leave them in my luggage for fear of the luggage getting lost. But do you think the scanners at the airports will ruin my tickets if I take them with me?

I'd rather have the tickets with me than loose them!

Thanks!

The scanners wouldn't ruin your tickets, but don't put anything of that importance in your suitcase. If your luggage got lost, you can always get more clothes or wash the ones you have, but you would be forced to buy new tickets. The scanners don't demagnetize credit cards, which is the same technology as the park tickets. Carry on your tickets in your wallet or some very safe place!

Also, write down your ticket numbers and keep them with you in a separate location from your tickets. Then, if anything should happen to your tickets, Guest Relations can replace them using the numbers that you wrote down earlier. Have Fun!!

Thanks to both ktglads and practicallyperfect!!

All of a sudden I started to worry about bringing the tickets with me!! PHEW. I guess when my vacation is getting close I worry about the little things.

I can't wait to go and enjoy everything!

Thank you both again for the tips!:wave2:

If a ticket does not work but otherwise looks good, it will be replaced (if it has days or plusses remaining).

Actually you should have the ticket replaced if it is starting to get ragged or the writing on it is starting to become hard to read.

You May Need To Order New Checks
Starting next month, many banks will be returning photocopies of cancelled checks rather than the checks themselves. If you get unreadable photocopies back, you may be unable to prove you paid a bill or paid a debt. Often checks with Disney characters or other pictures on them, or checks purchased at discount prices, don't photocopy well and you should not use them.
