Will a town car service stop at fast food instead of grocery store

I have searched several discussion boards but can't find this answer so I'll post and see if anyone knows. This is my first post on Disboards so forgive me if this has been answered.

We have a trip to WDW planned for Sep 11-18. Flying in from CA and not getting in until 10:50pm Florida time.

We have decided to spring for a Town Car Service instead of MEARS, since they won't do the luggage delivery on flights that arrive after 10pm and we have to wait for it at the carousel anyway. It will also be nice to leave a little later on departure day.

Most town car services offer a complimentary stop at a grocery store, unless your flight gets in after 10pm because stores are closed. Do you if they will stop at a fast food place (or a seven-11 even!) instead, I'm actually willing to pay extra if required. I'm looking to book FL Tours or Tiffany town car, whichever may accomodate the request!

Does Florida have drive-thrus open after ten between MCO and the world (otherwise this won't work either)? We are flying in from CA and we change planes in Denver and the layover is only about 40 minutes so we won't have eaten all day except the snacks we can grab in the airports. Especially if the first flight is late at all.

If no one knows I may just call both places and ask. Thanks for your help in advanced. I'm sure I'll have lots of other questions. I've been to Disneyland over 50 times, but WDW seems like a whole 'nother' ball game. I feel like I'm planning a siege!

Anything can be negotiated between you and your driver.

(And, yes, you can certainly call and ask in advance... maybe make it a contingency for choosing
one service over the other.)

There's a 24-hour McDonald's Drive-thru on WDW property next to the All Star Resorts entrance :
1596 W Buena Vista Dr
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

This is probably a big maybe. Many town car drivers are particular about keeping their vehicles clean. They don't want drinks and or food consumed in their vehicle. The driver will have the final say. (Obviously, closed groceries in bags after a grocery stop are something different.)

Thanks Robo, I'm thinking I'll just call and ask!

I didn't think of that gwynne. I'll make sure to ask if they are okay with it. We can refrain from eating and drinking until we are checked into the hotel, after all that traveling even cold McDonalds will taste good, but McDonalds food does have a particularly pervasive smell they might not want lingering for the next passenger!

Don't worry about that at all.

With the competition these days from thousands of guests who now choose DME, the towncars/limos will do just about anything within reason that a customer wants.

As I mentioned, you can make this a condition of your choosing a particular company.

Isn't the grocery store Goodings (at the CrossRoads) open 24 hours ? Believe the MacDonalds there may be a 24 hr one also & the Taco Bell there until at least 1 am

I think Goodings grocery store is open 24 hours. It is the closest one to WDW and is a little expensive. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You could also just pick something up at the airport.

There's quite a few fast food places that I would be very surprised if they weren't open then.

I hope you find something that works for you!

Just don't expect a $1 menu, or any of McD's standard pricing. ;)

There are probably restaurants in the airport you could eat at, then see if the driver will stop at the WalMart on 535, I think it's 24 hour.

Well, I called both companies and got a response from FL Tours. I thought I'd post the answer in case anyone else had the same question.

They said it was no problem! At that time of night we only have a choice of McDonalds, Wendy's or Burger King, but that it is no problem. I'll go ahead and book with them. Further research of various reviews seems to rate them pretty high so I feel pretty good about it.

Thanks for everyone's help, and moving this to the right forum :)

Only 99 days to go!

Thanks for the info

There is a McDonalds @ MCO Food Court ... open 24 hours

Just be sure to ask for *Hot Food* if you are the only one there late @ night

*Lesson Learned* ... 2am ... May 2013 ... :teacher:

YMMV

We always ask if we can stop at the CVS outside the main Disney gate. It's never been a problem. It's a good place to stop for more liquids since we always do carry-ons.

On a similar note, does anyone know If there are any fast food restaurants in the same parking lots as the grocery stores that the town cars stop at? I was hoping to get the groceries while the rest of the family grabs a quick bite. I know we could grab something at the airport, but I'm guessing that will be just as overpriced as Disney, and I'd like to get one last cheap meal in before we get there.

Any ideas for a one stop grocery / fast food location that I could request for the town car service would be appreciated. I'm hoping to not have to choose between one or the other.
