Will a site in the 2000 loop be big enough?

We are going Friday!!!! We originally only had the two large Red Canyon tents (17' x 10'). But, we now have a screen tent, too. I am pretty sure anything in the 1500 loop would be too small, but what about the 2000? Does anyone know if there is a particular site that would work better than another?

Thanks!

I don't think you will have a problem at all. I've seen people with setups larger than yours fit easily, you might take up the whole site but it doesn't really matter in the end.

All the sites are pretty much going to be the same size as far as you're concerned, and since you have tents, it's not like you have to worry about trees being to close. There are a couple sites that might make it a tight fit as far as getting a car in as well, but I really doubt you'll have any problem at all.

Last November, I saw almost exactly your setup, plus another tent on top of it, and they still had plenty of room (can't remember exactly which loop). No worries!

Like Colson said, many folks come with that much and more.
If you arrive and find the assigned site just won't work, call the front desk from the comfort station. It wouldn't hurt to spy out a couple of empty sites that will work before you call. Explain the situation. Tell them you see a couple that would work and tell them which one you have in mind. I have found them to be very accomodating. No need to just suffer through and not be comfortable.

I was hoping that was the case, but I looked at some of the pictures, and then I wasn't sure.

3 days to go!!!!!!

Welcome to the boards......PLEASE TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR SITE AND POST THEM when you get back....I have a rather large tent as well....and like seeing how others arrange things so I'll have a general Idea of what works and doesnt work.

I just made our Res. for FT on May 9-May 11.:woohoo: :cheer2:

We have a 10-person 15' X 12' tent, made by Jeep, (for 4 of us, although we got it when there were only 3 of us:rotfl:) & a screen house. Plus, we think another family is joining us, so we're shooting for loop 2000, especially after seeing all the comments on here about the sizes of the tent loops. I sure hope we get in there. Does anyone know if there's a better site for a setup that size on this loop?:confused3 I'm taking the day off from work that Friday, just to make sure we get a site that's going to be big enough.:headache:

Yep, 1500 is out of the question but the 2000 shouldn't be any problem. Here's a 15 x 12 tent with a 15 x 15 screen house and if you can look at the edge closest to the driveway (Under the table you can make out where the concrete begins...I know it's not a good shot), there's probably about 2 or 3 more feet to spare. Your screen house may have to overlap the concrete some but we've had to do that a time or two. Our screen house is wide enough that staking the ends are no problem.

COOL!!!! :thumbsup2 Ours has windows on both of the short sides that pop out a bit, but we can make it work. I can't be much smaller than the site at the KOA-Kissimmee that we were on last year.:rotfl2: That was probably as big as some of the sites in the 1500 loop, and no drive pad.....

Can't wait to get there!!!!:dance3:

We are going to be at the Fort March 9 - March 15 and are camping in 2 11x16 Tents and have a 10x10 Canopy.

The 2000 loop seems to be for us vs the 1500. From looking at the map, the bridge from the Creekside Meadow Group Camping into the 900 loop seems to be the shortest way to get to where all the activity is.

I have to add one more person to our party, so I have to call Reservations tomorrow anyway and would also like to put in a request for a site.

In a perfect world, I would like to be on the 2000 loop, over by Creekside Meadow, in a good size site, maybe backed up to the canal, and as near to the Comfort Station as possible. (Don't ask for much, huh? :>)

Any suggestions? What are the site numbers over there? Thanks in advance!
