Will a resale contract purchase cause me to lose my 'blue card' status?

I have 2 resale contracts, first one was purchased probably 20 years ago, the 2nd one within a few years of that. At one point, we did buy points directly from Disney at BLT but we sold those down the road. So we now own the 2 resales from years ago and have maintained our blue card status all this time. What happens if I buy another resale contract today? The new contract would not have benefits (I can't even remember what they all are), but my existing two would? I know we get the discount in parks/restaurants (it is loaded in our phone wallet). How would that new resale purchase affect our existing contracts and the new one as well? Is there a place to see what price Disney is charging for add-on points at the sold out resorts to compare? Sorry, so many questions!

No, you should not lose the status. One thing I will note- if you end up with a different membership number due to use years, you will have to be sure to give them the membership number that has the 'blue card' status. If I give the recent resale member # they will deny me.

You cannot lose blue card status as long as you maintain the contracts that enable that status.

When you buy a resale contract, those points will be restricted to the original 13 (I think?) DVC resorts. You could not use those points to book RIV, CFW, or the Disneyland tower

That makes sense, but just for the points on my newer contract, right? I just stayed at RIV (hence the add-on-itis lol), so I know I can with my old points at least now...

I already have 2 different contract numbers (different use years) for my 2 existing. I would plan to buy a contract with one of the same use years so that would be a mixed card then? And from what I recall, I don't have 2 different cards in my wallet, I think they combine it or something. I will have to go check. Thanks for that info though.

Resale purchases of RIV, CFW and the Disneyland Tower are further restricted and you can only use those resale points at the resort purchased.

Correct only your new resale points would not be able to book RIV, CFW or VDH assuming they're not resale from those resorts. Your grandfathered resale points will be able to book the resale restricted resorts.

Thanks all for your answers! Is there anywhere I can see a listing of Disney direct pricing for sold out resorts without having to call them?

FWIW, I have an Apr UY with my original direct contract which gave me the DVC-Y card in my wallet. Recently added a Feb UY resale. That resale contract didn’t alter my DVC-Y card. We get into ToTW at BLT with no problem even when staying on the resale points.

Your perks won't go away

However keep in mind resale points cannot be used to book at CFW, DLH, and RIV.
