Will a faucet-mount water filter fit on room sink faucet?

I was wondering about getting one of those water filters that you attach to the faucet for our room at POR. Something like one at www dot purwaterfilter dot com/faucetmounted dot html. (Sorry! This is my first post, so I can't post a link!) I was wondering if anyone has any idea if it would fit? I thought that it would save us money if we could just fill water bottles in the room instead of buying bottles of water. I would even like to have filtered water just for drinking water in the room. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have never used this type of filter, so I am not even sure how they attach to the faucet. I'd appreciate any opinions on this. TIA!

Interesting idea....my guess is that it won't fit on bathroom type sinks. I think we tried this once with our bathroom sink at home and it wouldn't fit.

POR doesn't have suites with kitchen sinks, correct?

We actually brought filtered portable water bottles and filled them up with regular water in the hotel and parks throughout our trip. These filter bottles work great. The water bottles have filters attached to them so they filter through any water you put in there.

We actually got ours at Jenny Craig, but they sell them at most camping stores.

Why not get one of the pitchers instead? They have the pitchers everywhere, supermarkets, Target, etc. If you have a car you could buy one down there if you don't want to lug it with you.

That way you don't have to worry about it fitting, which I don't think it will. The bathroom sinks don't have anything for the filter to grab onto.

Or you can get something like this:

(I'm not endorsing it, never used it, just letting you know whats available)

For a bit more money, there are these:

Which I have used, and are great.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, it would just be for the regular bathroom sink, so I guess it won't fit. We might just do the pitcher idea. We are flying, but we already own a filtering pitcher, so we might just fill it with socks and underwear and other small things and put it in a suitcase. I used to have one of those filtering water bottles, but I didn't think they made them anymore. I'll look around a bit for one of those in some stores.

Thanks again for the help! :goodvibes

You can also buy sports bottles with built in filters which you can take to the parks too. We've done that before and filled them at fountains -- drinking that is.
