Curious if two will fit on a bus at the same time?

My parents r coming with us next year and I was wondering what rwsort/resort area would be best? Boardwalk? Contemporary? We will be at Epcot and MK the most.

I thought if at boardwalk they wouldn't need a bus for HS. MK. or Epcot... would u just take the monorail from Epcot to MK?

First off every single Disney owned bus can hold two ecv/wheelchairs and their are some that can hold three and a few that can hold four.

So you should ask your self which park you want more because at board walk inn which I think is the best resort on Disney property you can walk or take a boat to both dhs and Epcot . You can walk through Epcot and take the monorail to ttc and then Transfer to the mk line. And coming back take the bus back to board walk because their the first stop.

For cr you can walk to mk and take bus to Dhs and monorail to Epcot and then exit at the international gates and take boat or walk to Dhs. I say the best option would be board walk because you get two park in walk distance but you can't go wrong with cr either so it up to you. If your going to be at mk more then I go with cr if Epcot or Dhs then board walk inn.

If the bus pulls up and has another guest in a tie down spot you will have two options split up and the driver will call for another bus or have the driver call for another bus then Both wait for the new bus which will be dispatched sooner then Waiting for the next schedule bus so both can ride on the same bus. Most of the driver are great you my and hope you don't get a few bad apples if you do ask to speak to their manager and get their name, bus umber, dot number which will be towards the back by the wheel and time and bus stop and where the bus is going. Hat way just in case you have to wait for the manager and the driver leave you have a way for them to track he driver down. If you need any more info or anything I said cleared up I most of the time may not come out as clearly as I like please feel free to ask and have a great time on your trip. Can't go wrong with board walk inn or cr but I would pick board walk inn but that me you choose he one hat be the best for you.

Thank you, Thank you! Awesome! I am sure I have tons more questions... I will try to read FAQ thoroughly first. :goodvibes

I am really starting to plan this trip for my parents (who will each be in an ECV).

I am wondering... if we stay at Boardwalk Inn, will the ECV fit on the Friendship boats? Or would you just walk it when going to HS specifically?

Another question: My Mom is an avid gardener and really excited about the flower festival. So we will go during that. I know she will go to Epcot a lot... will we have to worry about her battery wearing down if she goes on her own?

Thanks!

The ECV will certainly fit easily on the boat. :thumbsup2

I stay at BWV's often and love to scoot the pathway to the Studios, though... it's really lovely :goodvibes and I'm often quicker than the boat which makes several stops :lmao:

Of the resorts you listed, the Contemporary will definitely be your easiest resort if you'll be spending the majority of your time at MK and Epcot. You can "walk" to MK and for Epcot you take the monorail. No messing with busses at all. From BWI you do need to take a bus. Going through Epcot to get to the monorail is NOT advisable because it's REALLY far and time consuming when it's for the sole purpose of transportation (if you're touring you take your time and enjoy yourself but take half a day to get all the way there) and will require park hopper tickets plus if you're trying to get to RD at MK then it is impossible because you can't go through Epcot until the park actually opens at which point you've already missed MK RD.

Thanks! For all the tips and input. I appreciate it. This is the first time we have ever gone with my parents (who are now 80) and I want it to be enjoyable for them.

My mom is totally excited about the flower and garden festival. And I love the idea that she can go on her own to look around but not be far from our hotel.

I know we will be at MK a few days--but I really wanted Mom & Dad to be close to Epcot since I know that is what they will enjoy the most. That... and watching the kids' reaction to everything at MK.

One last question: How do the rides work? My dad has a wheelchair thing for his car but I don't think either one of them could stand in line more than 15-20 minutes. Is it possible to do the rides like Haunted Mansion for example or Soarin'.

the board walk in is the best resort not just because you can walk to epcot and dhs that a big plus it a great resort. now for buses the mk bus from their is not that bad it will stop at your resort first then go to swan and dolphin then mk. so from mk board walk will be the first stop if you are at dhs and want to go their a bus to ttc and then transfer to monorail or take the bus to contempory and walk over their the first stop on that bus then it goes to poly and grand. their also a bus from dhs that take you to epcot it in the charter lot next to the ak bus and the ttc bus. but you will be quicker walking or maybe a little longer taking the boat to epcot.

a tip for the boats if you take it from dhs and you want to get off quickly to go to the board walk take the swan and dolphin and go over the bridge and your right their that save some time for the boats. but it also involves going up a hill so just giving you that option so you have all options open to you.

plus to save time going and coming back from dhs use the villa elevators and take it to floor one. go straight your see a door use the door to your left go out make a left and follow path to you get to drive and see the walk way their. they will have a cross over from drive way to side walk that wheelchair accessible. that will save you a lot of time then going out the front and going around the villa from the board walk and if you're coming from epcot and want to go to dhs cut through the main pool and follow the path on your left and as long as you go past the slide your in the right direction.
