We'll be doing it in early December, and I'll report back ASAP!! :thumbsup2

We are doing it Thursday at 10:00. Cant wait! Will report when we get back.:)

We did on our last trip and enjoyed it so much that we booked it a second time during the trip :rotfl: We also have it booked for our upcoming trip. We really enjoyed it. Hope you do too.

Could you tell me what it is that you liked about the tour? What time did you pick, 10:00 or 1:00? Were there plenty of stops to take pictures?

Thanks for the details!

We just did it a few weeks ago and it was WONDERFUL!!!!! We had 9 people in our family going so we had the bus to ourselves. You are on a special bus with huge windows that open. You can get up and move around to get your pictures. Each group has an animal keeper and a bus driver. The driver of the bus goes off of the beaten path of the safari and into areas where some of the animals such as the Giant Sable Antelope like to hide. The animal keeper tells you all about each of the animals as they have up close and personal relationships with a lot of them.

There is a new baby white rhino and we spent a lot of time with the baby rhino and his mom and dad. They were hiding in a little sandy area and the bus pulled right in and we honestly could have put our hands out of the windows and touched them.

We also got to see some of the behind the scenes areas as for the elephants and some of the ostriches and such.

We were all thorough engrossed in the tour and our 4 year-old nephew loved it. After the tour, my dad tried to tip the driver and the keeper because they were so terrific but they refused a tip. We did go to the guest services area and wrote a note about how terrific they were. I hope this is a tour they continue to do!

Another great thing about it is that different keepers do the tour so it varies, depending on their area of expertise (it is the same basic tour of course, but they might stop in a different place or talk about different things)

Is it every day or just certain days? It would be nice if it was every day as we are staying concierge for one night in January -- thought we would be able to do Sunrise Safari but they switched the days on us. My son is 8 and would love it!

Is this different than the Sunrise Safari? Which would you recommend? Thanks!
