Has anyone rented in this development? They say they are 12 miles away from Disney...which is fine because we are looking for a house to rent after Disney...we are looking for a location to rent a house that is central to great shopping, Sea World, Universal Studios etc..Those are a few of the places we plan on enjoying the week after Disney...

I am having a really hard time to decide on where to rent...

Any help???:confused3

Wildflower Ridge is not central to any of those things. It's quite far away actually. On this map it's #84

If you want something closer to shopping , Sea World and Universal I would try subdivisions along Poinciana Blvd. : Terra Verde, Lake Berkly etc On the map they would be # 61 and 62 and those in that area.
You won't get to close to SeaWorld and Universal if it's a detached pool home that you want because of zoning laws. Kissimmee will be as close as you can get.
If you want a townhouse/ condo you could go with Vista Cay #123 or Floridays #121. ( No private pool )

Poinciana Blvd. isn't that close either. I am not sure where in Davenport Wildflower Ridge is but if it is located near I-4 it will be a quick trip. There is a decent amount of shopping areas in the area.

We stayed in Clermont, in the Clear Creek Subdivision. It took us 20-30 min to get to Seaworld and 25-35 min to get to US/IOA, depending on traffic.

I really like where we stayed. It was about a mile from the junction of 192 & 27. There was a Super Walmart, Publix and several chain restaurants all within a mile.

If you're interested, this is the house:

Wildflower Ridge isn't near I-4. Windsor Hills would be closer to I-4 or you can head up Poinciana to 535 and access I-4 or International Dr quicker than coming from where Wildflower Ridge is. :)

We have stayed at Bahama Bay and Regal Palms in Davenport and found that Davenport if too far out if you are going to be doing the Parks on a daily basis. We spent a lot of our vacation stuck in traffic and it was a real pain. Most of the good shopping outlets are a good distance away, so be prepared to spend a lot of time in the car! We love Windsor Hills. So close to the parks and shopping!

Davenport is a large area. It comes all the way down to Champions Gate. Certain parts of Davenport are a very quick trip to Disney.

Thank you for the responses!

We are staying at Disney the week prior. The second week we want to go to Sea World, maybe Universal and make a drive to the beach and one day shopping.Where would you suggest based on that?

We will not be going back to Disney that week.

I would prefer a spot close to grocery shopping etc and that will have minimal traffic:confused:

There are so many rentals ...we are really confused as to which one will work best for us!

Thanks,
Lisa
