we will be staying at Wilderness lodge in mid October would really like to hear from anyone that has stayed there as well as any tips and hints. I would be especially interested to hear from anyone who has needed a wheelchair accesible room and accomodating party of 3

I've not been before but will be there at the same time.:cool1:

If you see a big shaved head jock, don't be scared, it's only me! :rotfl2:

Can't help with the wheelchair, but we stayed last summer, absolutely loved it! The pool, the boat to MK, the building, all fab. We were flag family too, one of our kids fave things!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Wilderness Lodge :lovestruc

We've stayed there 3 times. It's a gorgeous resort!

Ask if you can see the public areas of the DVC section. One of the nicest I have run across with a Pacific Northwest Railroad theme. I sat and played chess their with my DD when we stayed there a couple of visits back. The boat trip to MK from their is very nice, can be a bit crowded around firework times. Artist Point I loved the first time we went, the second it was mainly empty and was an echoing lifeless place. The quick service counter restaurant does some of the best sandwiches I have had, we have even ducked out of the park to visit at lunch time just for one of them. Watch out for the ducks if you sit at an outside table they will try and mug you. The rabbits that live in the grounds are so tame they could be animatronic!
