We just got back from our vacation and loved Disney at Christmas time. We were able to spend Thanksgiving and the first week of December in Disney before the "cold" hit. We stayed at the Beachclub Villas and loved it. However, we are a family of resort diversity and love to stay at different places each trip. We are planning our 2012 2 week vacation and I wanted some input from you board members. We are leaning towards going back to BeachClub (location to Epcot/Stormalong Bay), but wonder if we would miss something from WLV/BLT. Any input/advice would be appreciated.

If you want to try something different both BLT and VWL are very different fromt he beach club. BLT has the advantage of the monorail and walking to the MK. VWL has a quiet/secluded feel even though it's just minutes away from the MK. I also love the MK area because of the bunches of restaurants in that area.

Personally, I would choose BLT, just because I have not stayed there yet. Also, access to the monorail is a great advantage in my opinion.

That said, BCV is great for the access to Stormalong Bay and the convenience of having the Boardwalk that close.

Oh, the tough choice we all have to make :)

We are owners at BCV and will never go anywhere else. the proximity to Epcot/ Hollywood Studios is the best. There are numerous places to eat because of the two parks, the Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin. There are many more things to do for adults and kids. Transportation is perfect for everything.Hope you have a wonderful time . Jenn.

Why not do a split stay if you are staying for 2 weeks? We always do split stays when we go for 2 weeks. Do one week at either VWL or BLT and focus on the MK, then another week at BCV or BWV and concentrate on EPCOt/DHS. When you stay for 2 weeks, it is nice to have a change of scenery during the vacation!

I have stayed at all and had great vacations at all three. I would go with whichever one has the amenities and theme and location that your family would enjoy most. Each one has it's own "personality" - BLT has a very urban feel, BC has more of a community feel, and VWL has a very secluded and peaceful feel.

I was in a similar quandary myself yesterday, when the new discounts came out and I was considering my choices for September. I thought about which park(s) I would spend the most time in, where I would prefer to ride out a hurricane if necessary (since I'll be there at the peak of hurricane season), etc. My first choice was BLT, just because I've only stayed there once and would like to go back. But I wasn't sure I wanted to ride out a potential hurricane with those huge glass windows. So that narrowed it down to VWL and BCV. I was really tempted to stay at VWL, because I like being on Bay Lake and enjoying the feeling that I'm far away from Florida when I'm really not. But I have to admit that it was the fact that BCV is right next to my favorite park that caused me to pick BCV over VWL, even though VWL would have been just a little cheaper.

Well the one thing Bay Lake Tower has that other DVC Resorts don't have is Resort Monorail access from the Contemporary and a walkway to and from the Magic Kingdom. However in the end I would ask yourself which parks do you plan to spend the most time at? If it's the Magic Kingdom then go with Bay Lake Tower or Wilderness Lodge Villas. However it's Epcot and Hollywood Studios, then go with the Beach Club Villas.

i have the same 3 resorts as my top picks . my problem is we are only doing 2 parks animal kingdom and hollywood studio. the rest of the week we are going to the malls and visit with friends . we have only done value resorts and i would love to try a villa once . we love disney resorts so much we came to town for grand fathers funeral and we stayed at all star movies and did no parks just came for the funeral . so good luck to op hope you find one you like
