Wilderness Lodge Villas and Beach Club Villas

Hi

We are going to the World in June and we are doing a split stay between Beach Club Villas and Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

As it is our first stay at both I was hoping you all could give me some information about both resorts and help me out with some questions.

What other resorts/hotels are Wilderness Lodge Villas near?

What are the CS options at each resort like?

Any information and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Since both are Disney Vacation Club resorts, you can research them on the DIS further down the list of forums. Both share amenities with the resort they are named after, so that should help when you check online, too.

VWL is next door to WL, and a 5-minute or so boat ride from CR and the resort monorail. The CS place at WL (Roaring Forks) is small with limited selections, but what I had was good. Photo and menu at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=16

I haven't stayed at BCV yet (but will be doing so in May). It adjoins BC, and you can walk to YC, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin. CS at BC is called the Beach Club Marketplace. Menu can be found in the dining section at allears dot net.

We spent 8 nights at BCV this past summer.

The Beach Club has the "Marketplace" inside, adjoining the gift shop, as its counterservice. My family did not purchase any food there. We preferred eating at Hurricane Hannah's. It is located outside, adjacent to Stormalong Bay. We had lunch there often. DH could also order beer there.

**Both places are on the Dining Plan.

Remember that WLV is also just a boat ride, or bike/walk from FW too. FW can be nice to wander around and see the animals, or even take the new Segway tour there - I believe offered two or three times per wk. This is on our hit-list next time.

I LOVE both locations! The boardwalk area is my favorite, followed closely by the VWL. The previous posts have summed up the eateries and resorts questions.

I remembered about FW after I posted and got sidetracked, so I never edited. I had planned to go over there for breakfast at Trail's End during my September trip but never made it. The Segway tour is definitely something I want to do!
