Wilderness Lodge or Polynesian

I am currently booked at the Wilderness Lodge for March and am having second thoughts about it and my next choice was Polynesian. Its me and my dd(8) who is the best girl ever. We were all booked to go at the end of January and I got sick and had to cancel! So here we are planning again and I am still torn.

I chose the WL because I loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge and I visited the WL and thought it had the same feel. I loved the feeling that you left the craziness of DW and entered someplace different and magical, which is how we felt every time we entered the AKL. Of course we could have stayed there again but I also like to try new places. So what does everyone think?
Concierge at WL or Poly?

My daughter was so fantastic when I had to cancel (2 days before we were to leave) she just smiled and told me to get better..no crying and no whining. She earned herself another day..though she doesn't know that yet!

Have you looked at Tikiman's great site and the WL FAQ at the top of this forum? That might help.

We've never stayed at WL but have at the Polynesian many times. It gives us that same feeling of being totally removed that you have described.

Have a great stay whichever you decide and this time I hope you both stay well.

Your daughter sounds great!!

I've stayed both places and it is a tough call, but I actually prefer the WL. It seems more "removed" from it all to me. Plus, I definitely prefer the theme of the WL over the Polynesian.

However, the Polynesian is GREAT too. It is on the monorail which is a nice plus.

I think it probably comes down to what theme you like better. Honestly, I don't think that you can go wrong with either one!

We stayed at the Poly last time (which was great because we have young children and the monorail is handy with strollers), but I think we're going to stay at the WL this fall. I miss it

I have never stayed at CL at the WL, but I have stayed at CL at the Polynesian a number of times. I think if it comes down to CL I would choose the Polynesian. The view from the lounge is great. To me alone that would make my decision The location of the Hawaii longhouse can't be beat. It's my 9yr old dd's favorite resort. She loves their pool.
