Wilderness Lodge Looks big compared TO...

Trying to put together a trip this December on a budget and the WL puts me in the price range but we love the Poly and the size of it. Once you get off the boat your room is just a few minutes away. The GCH is close to garden view Longhouses we like etc...The WL looks so big and spread out is this true or is the map bigger than it looks?

WL is actually so small it's the smallest and most compact of the deluxes. I think it terms of size, it's even smaller than POFQ. I like how everything is connected by inside corridors - no running in a monsoon to get to your room.

We've had a room at the farthest end of WL, farthest from the lobby, but you know what... the farthest room from the lobby is less than 5 minute walk from the elevators.

I love WL because of it's compactness. They never seem crowded.

The Poly is much more sprawled out than the WL!!! I would agree that the WL is the smallest Deluxe resort. Also, you can't beat having the interior corridors of the WL. If you count the WLV, its a little bigger, but still the smallest Deluxe.

Nope! Nothing is more than a few minutes walk! Perhaps you are looking at a map that includes WL & FW (several do).

WL is a wonderful, relaxing resort. Enjoy your stay!

I have to agree about the Wilderness Lodge....it is all very compact and accessible...we had a great time at this resort. We were actually "trapped" for a day or two because of major storms, and it was the best place to be stuck inside! No outside walkways to get wet to and from our room to the main areas, and so much wonderful atmosphere inside the lodge...and the geyser looked spectacular amidst all the mist and rain! Not to mention how warming that great big fireplace was with some coffee. We had a great visit!
