Wilderness Lodge health club

Is the health club at the Lodge free to all WL guests? It appears that's the case for club level rooms on the Disney site, but not clear for lower priced rooms. Just booked the bounce back there and an on site gym is a feature we'd like to take advantage of this time.

Also how comfortable are the bunk beds? I opted for the 2 Queens, not sure I want to spend vacation on a bunk bed and the queen is bigger than what we just had at CBR and those were fine. Also bunk room rate is more. WL rooms are the same size as those at CBR.

Any other WL comments or advice will be appreciated. We did not make any requests at CBR, just went with the flow, got Martinique 22, first floor close to quiet pool and the bus stop was close and visible from just outside our door. No complaints with that location, might be willing to just go with the flow here too. We have a courtyard room reserved.

The WL is a great resort, I don't know if the health club is free or not, I seem to remember a $10.00 fee but I could have been mistaken. It's a very nice club though. I'm also the "go with the flow" type of gal and rarely make room request (especially since they are all non smoking). The bus stops are right outside the resort and the boat dock (for MK) is a short walk behind the resort. You'll love it.

We used it when we were there 2 weeks ago. It is called Sturdy Branches and it is on the bottom floor of the villas. It is not only for the villa guests. They close at 9pm. It is right near the villa pool which is surprisingly nice and big. The bunks were great for our family, a big 17 year old and an 8 year old. It makes the room feel a smidge more spacious because they are narrower than the queen that would have been there. We had a courtyard view, but I did not make any requests as to where. If I were you I would ask for an inner courtyard pool view. If you want to be closer to the VWL area, ask for the north side.

If you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort with a health club, then as a guest of that Resort it is 100% free to work out.

On previous stays at the Contemporary my Mom has worked out there and it was free, since we were staying there. All she did was show her KTTW card and sign in on a piece of paper. So it would be the same thing at the Wilderness Lodge.

I hope that they have made this change. The last time we stayed there ( which was a few years ago) tghere was a fee if you were not staying conscierge or I believe a DVC member.

In any event you will love the Lodge. It is heaven on earth to us.....

I too hope it is free...my husband plans to work out every day there and I'm thinking he won't be too happy if he has to pay more, on top of what we already have

I wasn't concierge or club level....heck, they didn't even ask to see a room key...just signed my name.
