I made my room request for a 5th floor nature view room facing Magic Kingdom. I did this based on a lot of forum reading online, bc Im really hoping for the Magic Kingdom/Fireworks views. Im a 4th of July baby, fireworks are a big deal to me lol. Any room numbers people love with this view, or view photos? I booked a nature view room. I also picked 5th fl vs 6th, bc i did not want a solid balcony wall... but how big of a deal is this? My son will be 7, hes about 4ft tall. I wanted us to be able to sit on the balcony & watch. Any pics of this difference or thoughts?

You have the right idea, but trying to isolate the request beyond what you’ve done is probably taking it too far. I think 5th floor is fine. Wilderness lodge is the best!

Im wondering if maybe requesting a 6th floor room instead would make for a better view. We cant afford Club level on 7th. I prefer the balcony that’s a railing, but if the solid balcony really isnt a big deal, Id want to ask for the highest possible floor. Ive read of people saying they dont like the solid walls on 6th & 7th floors.

Did you book Nature View or Fireworks Nature View? Disney added this year a separate booking category for Fireworks Nature View. It used to be that all of these rooms were simply "Nature View" but not anymore. Most of the 5th and 6th floor rooms that do have the fireworks view are Fireworks Nature View. If that is what you booked, you should have a good view of the fireworks. If you are booked in Nature View, you will likely be on a lower floor. Note that the TouringPlans room request thing has not been updated with the correct room categories.

How do you mean? I did discover Touring Plans room finder recently, and when i search nature view rooms, some of the rooms show the Nature fireworks view classification that is more expensive. Do you mean to say the room classifications arent correct?

The Touringplans room finder is highly inaccurate. You can do a search here on Disboards about how inaccurate it is. And in this case, it's even more inaccurate because it was a recent change and they seem to be making the changes to the room categories based on feedback from guests. It's not like they receive a floorplan from Disney with the new rooms.

Of course, they sometimes offer pixie dust. But, if it's not your booking category, it is pixie dust.

I see some 5th floor rooms categorized as nature & some categorized as nature fireworks view?

The room finder is not accurate. They do not get a floor plan from Disney with new rooms. And in this case, there's a very high percentage of rooms that are incorrectly labeled because Disney just changed the room categories this year. So, you start seeing some changes from Nature to Fireworks Nature based on the guests filling out the surveys and sending pictures at the end of their stay. Few people do this, so a lot of those rooms have not been changed in Touringplans to Fireworks Nature View yet.

Thank you for this!! Im new to Disney planning & havnt seen anything yet about Touring Plans being inaccurate! I hope that still leaves some upper floor rooms with a fireworks view you don’t have to pay extra for. Im sure the view is obstructed if its not extra.

Arent there some standard rooms with views of the fireworks too? I dont think i saw an upgrade category for standard fireworks view.

I really like Touringplans for their app. I find their Lines estimate really awesome. And I do like the pictures of the views that guests send. But, the Room Finder is not accurate. It's based on the pictures that guests send and what they indicate their booked room category was. So there is a LOT of error. It's not based on aything provided by DIsney.

I would ask for what you want and call it in. Something like "partial fireworks view please." That way, even if it's not a perfect view, you may get some pixie dust.

There is an upgraded Fireworks Nature View Category, that is separate from Nature View:

Thanks so much!! At least now I know what to expect! I would have had the wind taken out of my sails lol

We had a standard view, room was on 5th floor open balcony at the end of the hall over Roaring Forks. We had an obstructed view of the fireworks due to trees but could see higher ones.
But my fav view was inner courtyard. One time I had one of the solid wall balconies and hated it. you can’t see out unless you’re standing up. If you sit you are just staring at a solid wall. And I enjoy sitting out with my morning coffee, or in the evening with a glass of wine. So I prefer to be able to see out.
The solid balcony also makes the room darker too.

We had room 6014 last year , nature view, and it was a perfect unobstructed view of the castle and fireworks! I made a note that rooms 6006-6024 should all be able to see fireworks, some of them might have trees obstructing a bit.

I just checked my reservation. We were booked with Nature View. Maybe getting a fireworks room was a bit of pixie dust?
