Hi, we have just booked to stay at WL in Nov for a week and they talked me into a concierge level room. It was about $300 more than a normal room. Now I am wondering whether it will be worth it. Does anyone have any experience? What kind of snacks, drinks, breakfast do they serve? What about stuff for kids? We have 3 boys of 6,3 and 8 months. Also are the rooms situated in the main building?? Thanks for your help

all rooms in the wilderness lodge are in the main building.

the only separate rooms are if you stay at the wilderness lodge villas...

but WL itself is just one enormous building.

The concierge rooms are like any other room, but up on the concierge floor.

the concierge lounge in the WL is pretty nice. The food is in this special food room - sort of looks like a fancy kitchen with nice granite counters.....
you go in there and take your food and then eat it out in the big lounge area.
you're up on the 5th or 6th floor and you can see down into the lobby (an open atrium type thing) and you hear the noise rising up from the whispering canyon cafe..

we haven't stayed concierge in a while, but when we did, we always enjoyed it......the 4 of us could usually get our money's worth in food..
we always ate breakfast in the concierge lounge and whenever we came back we would take soft drinks (there's also alcohol, but we don't drink, so i don't remember when alcohol is served)..

And in the evening, there is pretty hearty food served there...
meat stews and things of that nature...so you can take care of dinner pretty easily if you like what they're serving....

and you can have the concierge make your reservations for you and things like that...(ADRs, etc.)

Not including the baby that works out at about £7 per person per day so I think you'll get back your money.

I can only comment on the GF but they had food out most of the day.

Breakfast alone is nearly worth it as it will also be really quick for you and you can eat it in your room as well.
