Wilderness Lodge Buses

We are now considering this resort as a possibility for our September trip if AP rates are not available for POR. I went to visit this resort and all I remember was waiting FOREVER for a bus to get back to a park, ANY park. Is the bus system really bad there or do you think that was a fluke. I see alot of people raving about this resort and I wouldn't think they would be happy about the transportation aspect and say something if that was the case.

I've found that the wait for busses at WL is sometimes a bit longer than the average at other resorts, but its usually not bad at all- normally not more than 10 minutes. Of course, it all depends on when you get there compared to when the last bus left Plus you can use the boats to get to MK, which is a nice alternative!

Last October, the longest we waited for a bus was 10 minutes. (And that was at DTD).

The bus transportation at the WL is spotty.

One evening, we waited over 20 mins for a bus to Epcot. We finally gave up and took a bus to the Ticktet and Transportation Center, then hopped the Monorail from there.

Most of the the time we waited at least 10 minutes for a bus.

I don't believe I have ever waited less than 15-20 minutes for a bus. Combine that with the ride to the campground to pick up even more people and then the time it takes to get to whichever park you are going and plan on an hour transport/wait time. I've learned if it takes less time be thrilled! In fairness, I do go the more heavily travelled times (summer, Easter, etc.)

We were there March 2002, and never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. We thought the transportation there was great!
