Hi can anyone explain this to me? They show a movie and have a sing-along? Does this happen select nights or everynight. I'm hoping it coinsides with our diner reservations so our granddaughters can see this. Thanks for any info.

I don't know where you got Wilderness Canyon Cafe. The word "wilderness" applies to two places at WDW - Wilderness Lodge Resort and the Fort Wilderness Campground, which are very different from each other. Wilderness Lodge has a restaurant called the Whispering Canyon Cafe. That is NOT the place with the movie. The movie, sing-along and campfire takes place at Fort Wilderness Campground. There's no charge for it unless you want to buy snacks, and they have it every night.

The movie is not at WL, it's at Fort Wilderness though you could make a night of it. Eat at WCC, take the boat from the WL to Fort Wilderness in time for the movie.

This is what I found:

When does the campfire program begin and what is it like?

The campfire program has no admission fee and is open to all WDW resort guests. It generally begins around 7 p.m. during the fall/winter season and 8 p.m. after the time changes in April through the summer. It is held near the Meadow Trading Post in the campfire area. The program begins with a sing-along led by a Disney CM and a marshmallow roast around two campfire rings. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the Chuckwagon (roasting sticks and marshmallows are $2). You may also buy pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, juice, popcorn, sodas, coffee, beer and other refreshments at the Chuckwagon. While this is going on, Chip and Dale make an appearance to visit with guests and sign autographs. The sing-along lasts about 40 minutes. Next, one or two Disney animated features, depending upon the season, are shown on a large outdoor screen. Seating is available in bleachers or on benches. There is also plenty of room to lay out a quilt or blanket. The movie schedule is posted at all comfort stations. In the event of rain, the sing-along is still held on the porch of the Meadow Trading Post.

You can eat at the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness before the campfire/sing along/movie at the campgrounds...You should make an ADR to be sure you will be seated quickly.

Thank-you so much! Sorry I got the name of the restaurant wrong. I think we will plan to make an evening of it. Poppy and the grandbaby girls will really like it.

We stayed at FW and did the Campfire Sing-A-Long two of the 4 nights of our trip. Chip N Dale go through signing autographs and posing for pics. The campfire is one of my girls' favorite memories.

You can Google "Fort Wilderness movie schedule" to find out what night what movies are playing.

Also, it is not only open for free to WDW resort guests, we live locally and go all the time - great fun:thumbsup2
