So how are these? I like the idea of a kitchen and several beds for everyone. Anyone stayed here and how far from the resorts?

Also what amenities are there for the kids?

We are possibly going in August and the cabin was available during the dates we want to go.

The cabins are great! They are spread out and the internal bus system is a little tricky at first (just take the purple bus to the Settlement to go to the MK, the beach or the Meadows -trading post, swimming pool, bike barn and campfire; or the purple bus to the Outpost to catch a bus to the other parks or Ft. Wilderness).

They seemed tiny compared to the two bedroom villa that we had just checked out of at Old Key West, but it was fun! It feels like you are staying in a state park. There are lots of things for the kids: canoeing, paddleboats, bicycles, pole fishing, a petting zoo, the stables (where you can see the horses that are used in WDW), volleyball, the campfire with Chip and Dale and the nightly movies, etc.

We didn't have time to try everything but I hope to return soon. Have fun!

Over on the camping board you should get a lot more responses.
