And...I actually forgot about the 1:01pm meet at Signals!

Today has been a fairly trying day and I am SO looking forward to our trip. And to top it all off I just realized I got pen all over my nice shirt/cardigan - tick me off!!!!!!

Oh well, it's almost the weekend and there is a liquor store downstairs so maybe I'll have a nice glass of wine tonight when I get home....before DH makes me play some convoluted pretend role playing game.

I got a nice surprise in the mail last night. My box from Disney Shopping.com arrived (thanks Kathy!!!). We have the hawaiian-matching-mouse-themed outfits for one of the casual nights - do they still do tropical/mexicalafagilistic (whatever) on one night?? If so, we'll wear them then. I also got a really nice Mickey polo top in lime green (good deal) but it is kinda big so I am going to try and shrink it. I am quite good at shrinking things I don't want to so I figure this should be a no-brainer Also got Dutch some Buzz and Dash stuff. NOw I just have to start keeping an eye out for fun stuff to put in his basket I am going to get Shirley at Perfect Gift to do up. I think he will really enjoy it. Does anyone know if they sell the Lanyard started kits at the Disney Store in the States?? Or is it from the Parks only? I think we might get him one of those so he can try out pin trading on the ship. We didn't go that far on our last trip to WDW, but I think he is a bit older now and would enjoy that (and he sure ain't getting my pins LOL!!!!!!!).

I've got our rental car, hotel and airlines tickets so I am happy about that. I also have a few things to do in Cocoa Beach for the few days before when we are there (arriving Thurs around 1pm). I need to look into our excursions on St Maarten and St Thomas but I have a pretty good idea what we are doing - Lotterie Farm on St Maarten and Coral World/Coki Beach on St Thomas. We are going to do these on our own so I want to see if I can get some scoop on them before we go.

Today I learned that at 3 months a child can start teething and it is not fun I would have never thought DS would be teething this early. He is not happy !!

Happy Thursday fellow turkey cruisers:


I am sooooo happy that tomorrow is Friday. We have been working short staffed for about 2 weeks now and I am really tired. Today one of the ladies I work with, didn't come in. She got some upsetting news. Her son is in the Army and has been in Iraq since August last year. This week he was to be making his way back to Kuwait, then start his journey home. Well today she found out that he has to stay longer. At this point she is not sure how long, but it could most likely be another 6 months. Gotta love the military. So she is having a hard time with this news.

We are getting some rain now. So we will see about cutting the lawn tomorrow after work. It needs it.

It's been awhile since we've heard from Jandave and snoopymom too!!

Our cruise is approching quickly, so I'd love to hear from some of you who havnt posted in a long time. I have been here since page 1 and a few have said goodbye, but the above people have posted up to 3 or 4 months ago, then suddenly quit posting.

I am hoping your still with us, drop us a line so we know for sure!!

We are still around! Our schedule is very crazy so we haven't had time to get on the boards as much as we like. We read the boards at least once ot twice a week. Danielle was on Yesterday during her lunch break. Hope everyone is doing well.

Wow my 100th post !!!! Well today I am going to try to get errands done if DS is not in alot of pain teething !! Well we are going to visit my grandparents in PA on Sunday and they are going to meet their great grandchildren for the 1st time !! Well hope everybody has a great weekend!!

Lynn: Congrats on number 100. I am getting close to 1000, so I am having to keep watch. Who knows, I may even pull out a Dancing Nanna on my 1000th.

Well, it has been a long week, and it looks like it will be ending soon. My team and I will probably leave south Georgia after lunch and head north. Only a 3 hour drive home, so not too bad. I consider it training for the 6 hour drive to Orlando in November since it is along the same route!

Hot Hot Hot this weekend, so we may not be doing much of anything. Just stay in the house....which is ok I have a lot of work to do around her before my daughter comes in for her visit.

Cheri -- When you were in Traverse City this week, we were not too far from there -- in the Petoskey area. We spent last weekend on Mackinac Island, before Petoskey. Had a great time.

Bill -- what a wonderful gift you have; love your Donald Duck poster. I hope you have a job that allows your creative talents to flourish.

When is the 1:01 p.m. "meeting" at Signals??? Count me in. Just let me know which day! Don't know how I missed that post(s).

Tomorrow we get one of our precious grandchildren for the weekend. Trying to stay cool in hot, humid Michigan.

I posted some questions regarding limo companies. I had "booked" with FL tours, but wasnt happy with the attitude I got on the phone when booking, plus we are a party of 13 and he was charing per person in the van. It was about 70.00 more than what I had seen on their web site. I called HappyLimo and they were very nice and more accomadating. So I booked with them. One van will fit our whole party plus our luggage. It was 381.00 round trip. So I booked with them and cancelled FL tours.

Kathy, I'm still here!!!!! I try to get on the boards during my lunch breaks when the boss is traveling. Well, needless to say he's been back in the office so my time is limited and by the time I get the kids to bed at night I don't feel like doing much but sleeping.

I know this is a nice Disney board but you never know who's out there reading. Not a big risk that our homes will get broken into while we're away or someone try to approach our kids but a risk nonetheless and we should surf safely.

On our last cruise, someone knew how to take The List and post it on a webpage and then we sent the link to everyone via email. This way, only us Dis-sers could see it and our info. was safe. Does anyone know how to unload to a webpage? It's a stretch for me to use Excel to make the spreadsheet let alone set up a website. Or, as an alternative, I can send everyone the spreadsheet via email.

Well today our DD and GK'S arrive
It should be interesting to see how Minnie adjusts to kids running around here??
Tomarrow will be a trip to WDW with them. Not sure which park yet, probably WDW so they can do the Pirates ride. Then next saturday we get to pull off our surprise of the cruise for the grandkids.

Today is cleaning and getting last minute stuff ready for company.
Anybody got any plans this weekend???

Looks like we made it home just in time for the hot weather!

Jan, We went through Petoskey yesterday! We then drove up and around Lake Michigan via the U.P. and Wisconsin. It took longer than our usual route, but we didn't like the idea of hitting Chicago at rush hour on a Friday.

Now that I'm home, I can view pictures again! Bill -- awesome door sign! Runa -- great picture!

The list idea sounds great -- I'll get the rest of my info to you, Shell & Jamie.

No plans for the weekend -- just unpack, do laundry and start trying to get caught up on all the work I missed last week.

I hope everyone's weekend is going well. It was a HOT drive home yesterday. According to the thermometer in the SUV, temps on my 3 hour drive ranged from 101 to 106. THAT'S HOT!

Woo, Mutt and whoever else is in Ohio: Are these floods affecting you guys at all? Hope you are all safe!

To the Michigan Residents: Do any of you know anything about Blue Lake? DW's boss offered to let us use her vacation home up there anytime we wanted, and we may be plotting a weekend vacation or something up there. What would be the closest major airport (I don't do puddle jumper planes)?

The flooding here is in the county east of Cleveland where two rivers empty into Lake Erie, so we're not be affected by any flooding here in Akron. They just now ran another crawler on the TV stating another flood warning there, so apparently it's still not easing up any.

Kathy: HAVE FUN!!! I'll bet Minnie will love having the kids around!

Jan: A while ago we talked about meeting at Signals at 1:01 p.m. on 11/25/06 for our first celebratory drink!! Now I think it's official that the mandatory drink for this group is banana daquiris!!!

Have a great weekend, everyone. We're off to my family reunion. Lots and lots of good homemade italian food ... rigatoni, sausage & peppers, stuffed cabbage ... and I just made stromboli! Pray for my diet Oh, did I mention it will be about 90 degrees out and this is being held in a park??
