 Happy Monday everyone.

Well I was off today and to be honest I am totally enjoying the day. Weather has warmed up and its a beautiful day. I took my dog to the vet this morning for his normal check up. I have the last few years not been happy with the vet clinic. Today was the frosting on the cake...so I am having them copy my dogs records and I am going to find a new vet. It's a really long story, but the bottom line is, I was there about a month ago, my dog had yet another ear infection. So they at that time did a complete exam on him. So when I went today, I requested just his heart worm and a distemper titer. (re: the titer that is really another long story), anyway, I then asked if they could look in his ears to make sure the infection in completely gone. Well they would charge me for a "full exam" if they looked in his ears. I just think that is really sad :sad2: It was not so much the money, as it was they just couldnt look in his ears, since he has chronic ear infections. I would have paid for them to look in his ears, but I felt that he didnt need another exam he is otherwise a healty dog. Oh well....!!!enough of this rant....
Hope everyones Monday is going well....

Denise

Denise,
I had the same probelm with my vet for my dog. My dog :dogdance: had a lump on his side and before the Vet even look at it they want to cut him open and charge us $2000.00. It wired up just being a fatty tumor that would go away with a new diet.
They also would always muzzled the dog to cut his nails. My dog wouldn't hurt a fly but he doesn't like when you touch his paws. We switched Vet and we are much happier now :cool1: !!!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but last week was extremely hectic at work. This week is a more normal week!

Kathy: you guys keep dry down there! I know the rain is much needed and we are hoping to get some of the fringe stuff up here in Atlanta.

Have a great week everyone. Quickly approaching the 5 month mark! :thumbsup2

Howdy everyone, :sunny:
well we have been getting quite a bit of rain. :woohoo: No big downpours here, but a steady light rain all day yesterday with a couple short downpours during the night. Quite breezy out today. I guess we are suppose to get a lot more rain and wind from the back of the storm after it passes through the state.
The newspeople are so busy talking about the storm they havnt annnounced anything about the brush fires. :confused3 I wish they would. But with all the rain it had to of helped some.
DS didnt smell any smoke last night at work at Epcot, so maybe that is a good sign!! :thumbsup2
We are still around 90 degrees here, so it is very humid outside.
Not much else happening here, just staying in and :happytv: and catching up on the :laundy:

Kathy

:) Happy Tuesday everyone....

Kathy: I hope you stay dry..I know you need the rain but hope its not overkill on the rain.

Went back to work today and was pleased to see that I was not overloaded on work. I was actually able to get caught up, which is unusual around our place.

Have a great evening everyone.

Denise  one day closer to the cruise yay

Uh oh! We have slipped to page 2 again. Everyone must be as busy as I am here at work!

Been a good week so far, just extremely busy here at the office. The weather has been nice this week. Made it nice enough for DW and I to get out and cut the grass last night and put down weed & feed. Of course, I am afraid of the weed & feed. I am afraid I will not have any yard left when all the weeds die! :confused3

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Just about 2 days to the weekend ... and it's finally warming up in Ohio! Not too much else to report from our end, except that Mutt did buy his "cruise suit" Sunday (actually, he needs it for my parents 50th anniversary party in a couple of weeks, but as he said: Yeah, that's nice and all ... but THIS IS FOR THE CRUISE!). And he looks terribly handsome in it!

See ya!

I think there's a scavenger hunt for the cruise line in the new PassPorter book on hunts.

Has there been any new news on T-Shirts?

There is a new scavenger hunt on CC. It is apirate hunt, we did it last month. It takes about an hour to do and you have all day to do it. It was fun but a coupleof clues, I think the first and third were quite hard, But you can still solve the riddle by getting the rest of the clues.

Have a good evening everyone!! :thumbsup2

Kathy

:) Hello everyone....Well we were on page two...have to move us to page one....

Hope everyone's Thursday was good.

Well I spoke with my daughter last night, it's official that she will be deployed to Iraq :sad2: . She will be leaving early September. This is her second deployment to Iraq. She was there about 3 yrs ago, right when the war started. I was really praying that we may start pulling troops, or just that their orders would be cancelled, but no luck. This is her third deployment. She seems very upbeat and ok about it. I think I have a harder time with it than her. So in August she will be home for two weeks before she leaves and she turns over custody of my grandpuppy. I just hope my dog adjusts to having his "cousin" around for a year.

Have a good evening everyone
Denise

Oh, Denise :( I will hold you and your dd in my heart until her safe return, as I do all the moms and their young people who serve today. This is a much harder era than even Vietnam - at least then there was a draft and the burden was more fairly distributed at least for the most part.

Denise: God speed and safe travels to your daughter. She will be in our prayers!

WooGal: Will Mutt get more wear out of the suit than the Anniversary Party and the Cruise? Or is he defiantly casual?

Okay folks, I DESPARATELY need a weekend! I am so glad this one is here. Work has been cutting into my DIS time, and I don't like that happening! :furious:

I hope that everyone has a good weekend!

TGIF Everyone!

Denise: Thank your daughter for all of us. I am so proud to have such a courageous group of people in US uniforms, and we support them fully.

Tig: "Defiant" is quite possibly the most perfect word you could have found. That suit will come out exactly twice lol.

:sunny: Happy Hot Friday everyone:

Its gonna be a hot one in Chi-town this weekend. Just came in from mowing the lawn & watering my garden. And it's going to be hotter tomorrow. Trying to convience hubby into going for a ride on the bike this weekend.

Have a great weekend everyone....

Denise

Greetings all!

We were slipping to page 2 so I thought I'd give us a little bumpety bump.

Quick question...has anyone figured out when the exact date is that the Castaway Club members can make the online ressies? Not looking forward to setting my alarm for 3:00 a.m. but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Kiddies are now out of school and we're "down the shore" as they say up this way. Today is a big work day at our cottage here. A new kitchen countertop is going on, base cabinets are getting installed and I might actually get running water back in the kitchen by the end of the weekend. I won't know how to act when we're actually off the air mattress and using real beds. Ahhh. The little things in life that we take for granted.

Calling for toasty weather here over the next few days. Hope everyone stays cool and has a fantastic weekend!

Jamie, this is the web site used on the WDW side for determining when you can call for dining reservations:

http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

According to it, our date is 8/27/06. Of course, as you know, you have to have final payment by that time in order to do the ressies. I also saw others mention that they received a letter from DCL telling them their date, but I wouldn't count on that happening.

Steamy hot in Georgia this weekend! Went for a ride in the convertible to meet some buddies for breakfast. I have a group of friends that we have been meeting for breakfast at least once a month for at least 10 years now. We pattern ourselves after the Little Rascals and call our club the He-Man Woman Hater's Club...No Gurls Allowed! :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend everyone!

Bob
