Wild Florida Airboat

We are just back from another great trip. We read about Wild Florida online and decided to try it...bought tickets online from Costco for $28 each and that got us a one hour airboat ride and you could go through the zoo area too. We all had a great time- a beautiful place- we saw many alligators on the airboat tour. We also saw several cows in the water which we thought looked pretty funny but I guess is normal there. We took a picnic lunch and ate in the shade with the peacocks and parrots. The people there were all really friendly and the place was very clean. It was about an hour's drive from where we stayed (Davenport area- Hampton Lakes). http://wildfloridairboats.com/

We tried this airboat " Trip " a few years ago and found it far better than

others nearer Boggy Creek area.

We paid a visit to it in September and they have done a massive revamping

for the better.

How far is Hampton Lakes from Disney & what was the area like.?

Hampton Lakes is very near intersection 192/Hwy 27- very nice area- tennis/basketball courts-community pool (we never used)-we could watch hot air balloons taking off early in the morning and could see Magic Kingdom Fireworks at night........the villa we picked was lacking in maintenance though so I can not recommend it! Lesson learned- "completely" renovated in 2008 was too long ago and their version of complete did not include bathroom fixtures now 14 years old.....

We did this last year and it was great... the animal park was ok but the AirBoat ride was great!
